I looked around the shopping mall cafeteria, at four in the afternoon it was bustling with people buying food. Which is a shocker since it was four in the afternoon, way past lunch time, and most of the people around me weren't eating afternoon tea or anything, they were eating full on pizza. I was caught staring by a guy who was sitting on the opposite table, but you can't blame me he had two whole pizzas, three one litre cokes and a ceaser salad; at least the guy took the effort to be somewhat healthy.
"Sorry it took so long, a strawberry dream smoothie for you and a banana float for me," Axel said taking the seat opposite me.
"That's okay," i said taking a sip.
"So are we here to buy my new hockey stick? Cause i know a great place around the corner that sells top knotch sticks," Axel said.
"Oh no, we're here for the smoothies," i said smiling at him. He gave me a very cold blank stare.
"You made me drive forty minutes to Chadstone to buy you a smoothie," he said very slowly with a hint of anger in his voice.
"No, of course not, i'm also here to watch Avengers 2,"
"But no hockey stick," he said bluntly.
"God, you're so persistant, i already sent the hockey stick to your front door, and from the text i got two minutes ago your mum's already got it and it's in your room," i said giving him an extremely bored look.
"Oh, thanks," he said sending me a charming smile then taking a sip of his smoothie. "So anyways, what was up with the guys chasing after you in school?"
"Nothing much,"I waved it off, it was non of his business and if he knew what was good for him, he'd keep out of it.
"They looked dangerous," he added raising an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and took a long sip, i wasn't going to say a word. "Fine don't say anything,"
I rolled my eyes again. I looked down at my phone and saw a notification for a text. To your right, left and above. Ten guys. Chinese Dragons.
"Come on, i booked to watch the movie at four thirty, if we stay here any longer we're gonna be late," i said standing up from my seat.
"We still have thirty minutes," he complained.
"Well, it's ten minutes when your following someone with a terrible sense of direction like me," i said shrugging my shoulders.
"Fine," he stood ups slowly, groaning and taking a stretch. i took the opportunity to look over his shoulders for the men Michael texted me about. And indeed there were four chinese dudes in casual clothes, but what gave them away was their intense dragon tattoos that covered at least 60% of their bodies. Which means there were at least six more behind and above us. I took Axel's hand and led him in the opposite direction to the cinema. It was his first time in Chadstone anyways so i didn't need to worry about not making it obvious i was faking the whole lost act. I took us onto the top floor meaning i eliminated the disadvantage of us being under our enemies. Now they could only be behind or in front of us.
"The sign said that Hoyts is that way," Axel said pointing behind us.
"It does? Oh, okay," i plastered the innocent look all over and dragged him in the other direction.
"Cecil, what's wrong?" he asked.
"Whatever do you mean?"
"Don't give me that shit Cecily, you've been deep in thought for the past ten minutes and i knew we were walking in the wrong direction in the first place."
I stopped mid step and turned to face him, i eyed him for a while before letting loose a huge sign.
"We're being followed," i whispered. Almost immediately he lifted his head and looked around. I slapped him in the head and pulled his head down. "Don't make it so fucking obvious! There's ten chinese dudes following us. I don't know where they all are, but they all have huge dragon tattoos. They're part of the Chinese Dragon gang, a gang that want's revenge. I'm trying to lead them all in one place so i can take care of them all at once." Axel stared at me with a blank looked and nodded. "We're gonna be fine, okay? Just do
what i say and don't get lost,"I took his hand and we strolled through the shops and made our way to the cinema. I bought the popcorn and drinks and we started making our way inside the cinema. Axel hasn't said a word to me and i'm starting to worry, cause the guy's never quiet. It literally like a disability from birth.
"Are you okay?" I asked once we sat down in our designated seats.
"You're not fucking with me right?" he asked giving me a very serious look. I shook my head with the same expression. "Okay, i think i'll eventually be able to handle the news but you need to know that seven of the ten are sitting in the seats at the very back."
"Oh shoot," i gasped dropping my phone. Axel bent down to grab it for me but i stopped him and shook my head. I stood up and turned aroud to pick it up, when i stood up again i took the chance to glance at the men Axel spotted and indeed there they were but it seems like the last three have joined the rest. So basically we have ten Chinese assasins behind us. The movie started and half way through the fire alarm went off. People ran for the exit.
"Go with the flow," i said to Axel pointing to the rushing people.
"No, i'm not leaving you here with them," he said.
"I can handle them, you can't, and if you're here, i'll be worrying about you and i won't be able to protect myself as well," i said. "So go!"
"Fine, but you have to come out too," he demanded. I nodded and he bent down giving me a kiss on the lips. I pushed him towards the large group of people and he disappeared among the mass. I turned around and notice all ten of the guys were standing up and facing me.
"Miss, you kill our master a few week ago, you remember?" one of the men said in broken English. I nodded.
"Master Huang right?" they nodded taking their stances. "Mr Huang stole ten million from my company, it was only right i took it back and exectued the punishment he rightly deserved."
"Well now we must avenge him," the same guy said. I nodded and took out the knives in my hand bag. I am an expert at close quarters knife combat, it's my talent. Five of the men started to advance on me, i stuck one in the chest with my razor sharp knife and another in the forehead, the mess isn't beautiful but it is effective. I fought the other three using all the hand-to-hand combat training i learnt from my coach. Eventually i killed of the other three. And let's just say the last five were a piece of cake. The result was three guys pined to the walls with knives in the head or chest. And seven on the floor dead. Just dead. I grabbed out my plastic bag and took my knives back, yes that meant pulling it out of their corpses but i couldn't leave any evidence.
"Cecily! I called the police they're on their way..." i spun around and stared at Axel. He was pale and shaking probably nauseous from the amount of blood. "Did you do this?"
I nodded and gave a shrug. "I'm a part time assasin, it's my job, i kill people, so what?"
This chapter was a bit rushed. so if there are any mistake i am really sorry. Hope you enjoy, vote and comment!!! I love reading comments and replying back <3
