Chapter 7: Revelation!

It has been almost a year and a half since the court incident where Asta was accused of a crime that he hadn't committed and was almost executed hadn't it been for his own father's perfect timing. It was also around 6 months since Asta had taken his old form in order to better infiltrate the camp and gather allies that are attracted to him as a person and not by his status as a prince of the Kingdom.

Team Storm had been a massive success among the soldiers and the citizens that they had rescued when they freed small villages. It was obvious that a lot of people had high expectations for the newly created team that had managed to complete many missions despite their young age. Asta had prided himself for achieving such a success without having to ride on his father's coattail as most people would call it when a person's success is dependent on that of someone else.

Despite how short it was since the birth of Team Storm, each member had a lot of respect for each other and done a lot of things together even though some had preferred to not get into a lot of details about their past but it was fine since everyone was allowed privacy in their life's. The most important thing to mention is that the team was functioning better than any other team and that's what mattered to Asta more than anything.

Asta knew that he had dragged his self imposed mission for far too long and decided to finally reveal his identity. It wouldn't do well for him if he were to drag this out since it will only cause problems and his teammates will think that he doesn't trust them enough to tell them anything after the bond that they had created in that short time. He was still contemplating how to reveal it without freaking them out since Howzer would definitely freak out.

"Just be straightforward with them, don't hide anything from them after all they earned your trust and mine as well for accepting your old image." Said Invel as apparently despite how smart he had gotten over the course of years, he still had a lot to learn especially his problem with overthinking things and making things way more complicated than it is.

Deep down, Asta tends to often overestimate a situation but surprisingly most of those situations end without any problem. It just shows that he still had a lot to reflect about, especially if he wanted to be a good leader to his own people whether he becomes the King of the Spade Kingdom or if he decided to follow in his father's footsteps.

"They are quite a reasonable bunch, I'm sure they will understand your current position as part of the ruling family of the Spade Kingdom. Need me to remind you that Gilthunder is a noble, I'm sure he will better understand your position and will help you with your two other teammates." Reassured Invel while Asta let out a small sigh knowing that his father was right.

"I know! Just a bad habit of overthinking things and making things way more complicated than it actually is." Said Asta with a soft smile, while Invel smiled and ruffled Asta hair.

"Well, you're still new to your lifestyle and you still have a lot to learn to not only become the ideal leader but also be the ideal King." Said Invel while Asta nodded his head.

For some reason, he had once thought that his father was going to be one of those aristocrats that are like Nozel with a cold attitude and who isn't easily satisfied but it turns out that his father was actually much more chill then he had first anticipated and is quite understanding and most importantly despite his age, he often acts like a teen which he had bared witnessed several times especially that time when he saw his father playing with magic detonators like he wasn't holding a weapon that can wipe out an entire villages from the map by just flipping the switch and pressing the scary red button.
