Special Chapter: Halloween Edition!

Asta Staria, prince of the Spade Kingdom and next in line to inherit the throne was enjoying himself for this is a very special day. Today was Halloween, a day widely celebrated around the kingdom regardless of your social status be it a peasant, commoner, noble or royal. Halloween takes place on the night of the 31st of October, a day known as the eve of all Saints. This day, children celebrate by dressing up in frightening costumes and masks.

Asta had celebrated Halloween a few times in the past but it wasn't anything big, having lived most of his childhood in the forsaken realm, peasants can't throw a massive celebration like a noble or royal could nor could they afford Halloween costumes like the commoners.

Most of their clothes were stitched so pulling a Halloween costume was something their budget couldn't afford and even if they could, they wouldn't throw money over a costume that will be put on the shelves to pick up dust until the next year where there is a likely chance that you'd outgrown the costume.

Asta didn't really complain, all he needed was probably a mask and he was already getting in the spirit of Halloween. Asta who despite his eccentricities was gifted with his hand, simply meaning that he can use sticks, leaves and other things around him to create something worthy of being called a horror costume.

This talent was something he had inherited from his own family given that the Staria royal family liked to tinker with things and improve themselves and Asta inherited such a gift but nobody except Sister Lily and probably Yuno was able to notice it due to his eccentricity and 'magicless' status that made people overlook his talent.

Besides, one had to remember that we live in a world of magic so there are many ways to enjoy the festivity without spending a lot of money on costumes. Now, with him and Yuno supporting Hage village with their allowance from being a Magic Knight, Hage had finally gained enough money to start a school for children to learn magic while improving their everyday life so he knew that the kids at the orphanage are having much more fun.

Now with him being a royal, his salary that he used to receive when he was still a Magic Knight can't even be considered as pocket money. He can now understand how Noelle had felt when she received her own salary but that didn't mean that he was going to start looking down on others for being poor.

Having lived a decade in the forsaken realm and learning the ways of the peasants and commoners had given Asta an insight on what he wanted to implement in the future once he rose in power and became a King. The noble and royals of the Clover Kingdom might not acknowledge it but most of the things that they enjoy were made possible because of those so called 'lowborn' as people had come to label them.

Most peasants who work in the farm grow crops and raise livestock or poultry which we eventually eat. Those organic foods are shipped to the Common realm where it is used to combine with other ingredients to create delicious cuisine that the noble and royals enjoy and need to sustain their expensive lifestyle. There are also organic food such as cotton plants in which it's used to create clothes which the noble and royals need to create their own expensive clothes that they wear.
