The Red Suit Vol.6 : Choice

The Missing Hero

" PAP! " Jones slaps a newspaper article onto a table in the cafeteria in front of Christ to see.

The newspaper's main headline was titled " Where is The Red Suit? ", which signals them that Rain had been inactive in crime-fighting for a while.

" Picked it up from the shelter yesterday " Jones said as he sat in the seat in front of Christ. " Did you know 'bout this? ".

Christ nodded. " Yeah, I saw it on the news website on my way to school. You think something's wrong with Rain? ".

" Probably, but he isn't answering his phone. I haven't gotten a single message or call from him for nearly two weeks " Jones explained as he showed her his phone.

Christ looked at the phone screen and saw that Jones had sent plenty of messages, however Rain had not responded to a single one of them.

" You too? " Christ said slightly surprised as she took out her phone from her pocket. " I'd thought he would've at least answer you since you guys have been friends way before he met me.........but guess that idea's gone ".

Jones looked at her phone and saw that Rain not responded to her messages either. " Seriously? Man...........something's definitely wrong with him...... ".

" Yeah....... " Christ then stood up from her seat. " We should go to his house after school. I don't think he's gonna talk unless we go see him in person ".

Jones stood up as well. " Good idea. We'll head to his house right after school ends. Sound good? ".

The suggestion made Christ nod.

" Alright, then that's that " Jones said as he began walking away. " anyway, see ya then. I gotta get to class ".

" Bye " Christ waved as he he was going out of sight.

( I would've at least expected Rain to be fighting crime during his time at home........but he hasn't doing worry 'bout him ) Christ then began walking toward another hallway that leads to her next class. ( He's probably been like this ever since the incident with Dynox......).

( I wonder..... ) she kept thinking as she kept walking to her next class. ( ......did something happened that day that made him like this.....? ).

" RRRRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG!!!!! " many students began to leave the school compound as the bell rang loudly.

Jones leaned against the side of the school gate with his arms crossed as he was waiting for Christ to show up.

" Hey! " Jones turns his head as he hears a voice calling out to him.

Christ was outside of the school building and was walking towards him. " Sorry to keep you waiting. Class finished up later than I thought it would ".

" It's fine. Anyway, shall we get going? " Jones responded as he approached her.

" Yeah ".

Afterwards they began walking towards Rain's house and eventually they reached the part of the neighborhood that he lives in.

" Do you think we should ring the door bell? " Christ asked Jones as they walked. " And if we do, will Rain even answer the door? ".

" Well first, yes, we should ring the door bell. It'll look like we're breaking and entering if we don't " Jones explained as he raised his index finger. " Second, don't worry 'bout Rain not answering 'cause I'm sure his mom's at home right now. As far as I know, she's taking a few days off from her restaurant today ".
