Of Sun and Nightmares [Part1]

Wow, so the University just had to issue us a project with the freedom of choosing partners all over the campus.
I mean, even with assigned partners, I become a loner so it's no surprise that I'll be a loner even now.
Let's just prepare the project-

" NOX!! YOU WANNA BE MY PARTNER? FOR THIS PROJECT?" Eris screamed loudly from outside.

" STOP SCREAMING YOU IDIOT!" I replied, very annoyed.

" Yeah, but like do you wanna?" He asked and with a much lower voice this time.

" Fine."

I dunno why but this idiot did really make me smile for a moment.
Guess I won't be alone now.
Wait, who am I even kidding? He's just going to drag me down! I mean it doesn't seem like he knows anything about this.
Sigh, like what the heck.
I'll just go to the dorm and discuss some rules with him.
" Hey Eris, come to the dorm okay?"

" Yeah, will be there in a sec!" He replied very happily.

This idiot is smiling like a sun.
So brightly that it makes me want to wear sunglasses.

" Why are you smiling?" I asked him.

" Nothing. I mean, atleast on account of this project, I'll get to make friends with you!" He replied, quite stupidly I should say.

Friends, no way.

" No."

" Come on, just this once?"

" Like, why ? You have lots of friends."

" No, those are my acquaintances whom I call my friends so I feel better. The only friends I have are Ray and Chris and I want to add you to the list. Heck this rhymed. Cool."

" I guess you are lonely."

"You are more lonely than me. "

" Okay, I'll think about it. Now there are some rules about the project. See, even you need to contribute. You cannot sit around doing nothing."

" Of course I'll contribute!"

" This is not any regular project, it's about psychology. I don't know why they gave us that all of a sudden, but a grade project is compulsory. I don't want you to ruin it okay?"

" Yes I won't! Trust me. For the project, the one I'll be observing is you."

Me? What's he going to decode about me anyways? Not about the eyes that's for sure.

" Alright, I'll pick you then."

Because he's one easy guy to crack. If I ask him, he'll just spill all his secrets in one go. Not a 100% sure, but yeah.

And the next all I thought about was him.
Well, let's see, what can I observe about this guy?
I think the first thing should be-
Wait, did someone just scream?
Oh that must have been Eris.

What the hell? Don't tell me he encountered another cockroach again

"NOX!! THERE'S A GIANT COCKROACH IN HERE!" He screamed.

"LIKE IT'S A BIG DEAL! JUST KILL IT ! IT'S SMALLER THAN YOU! " I screamed back at him.

"NOX, IT CAN FLY!"

"Fine, I'll come."

I just went in his room , and here he was, standing on his chair with a slipper in his hand.

"Please kill it Nox, it's flying!!" He cried, waving his slipper frantically.

I killed that poor thing with his slipper, while also scowling at Eris.

" Thanks man. That was a huge help." He replied with relief and got down from his chair.

"ಠಗಠ "

Seriously. That guy can't even kill a small cockroach.

And so I just went back in my room and now it's time to do the project.
Okay, first thing to add to my list-
Eris Lee :
• screams demonically when faced with any sort of creepy crawly thing.
Great. One down, many more to go.
Now, that was very easy actually. Even easier than I thought it would be.
Great.
Time to sleep peacefully.
