My new roommate is an idiot

My day here at this university was going the best until I knew we were being assigned roommates. That was horrible. And I am Nox Hayden, 25 year old introvert, but like an 80 year old guy, if you get what I'm saying.
Or maybe it's just that I'm grumpy, not 80 years old.

I was walking the hallway after my calculus lecture had ended and saw the board of the roll numbers of assigned roommates.
So, I am 018 and I am in room number 7 along with a person called 007. This is not good. Anyways, better go to my room. I'll greet my roommate when they come.

I entered the dormitory and I checked it out a bit, from all the bedrooms to the bathroom facilities.

Dude, this dorm is awesome. Pity I have to share this with someone.
I'll just write the rules list for them to follow so I can live in peace.
And after sticking it on the door, I just went inside my bedroom again.

"Hey roomie can you open the door?
I am assuming you are 018 right?
I am 007. " Eris said loudly.

Obviously I would be 018. What is he, an idiot? I think he doesn't read.

"Read the rules on the door first, sign on it, and then come in." I replied, obviously not impressed by this new guy.

I'll just stay in my bedroom, and observe that guy from there. Besides, this room is amazing and I don't want to see new people right now.

"Can I come in? I signed on the rules list." Eris asked, quietly.

" Come in."

"Can I know your name? Mine's Eris Lee." Eris asked, hoping to break the ice.

Really, did he not even read my name on the rules list? Definitely what I thought earlier, he doesn't read.

" You should have seen the rule list to get to know my name. It's Nox." I replied, quite rudely.

" Hey , nice to meet you too. And where is my bedroom?" Eris asked, trying to ignore the rudeness.

" Beside mine." I replied.

"Like beside the room you are talking from?" He asked, again.

"Yes."

" Also I will be making some lasagna for myself as it's dinner time. Do you want some?" Eris asked, trying to be friendly.

"Sure, just leave it on the kitchen counter." I said, noticing his attempts to be friendly.

"Okay."

I'll just complete my assignments today so that I can rest in peace later. I think that my roommate will atleast let me sleep peacefully.
Ok so let's see, in this assignment I will have to write about the theory of-

" Hey Nox, do you have any pasta sheets here? And vegetables? Oh wait I got it! They were in the fridge. I checked in the cupboard ! That was silly. Sorry if I disturbed you!" Eris replied, disappointed in himself.

Seriously, scream less will you, Eris?
Ah anyways so where was I?
Yes- on the theory of quantum particles.

" Nox, I finished making the lasagna. I've left some for you!" Eris said cheerfully.

"Thanks." I said gratefully.

" Well,good night roomie!" Eris replied with a polite smile.

Ah finally! My assignment is done and this idiot has gone to sleep. I think in my whole day, this guy is the only person I've interacted with. And even this was too much for me.

I just have to recharge myself. Oh right, I have to eat. I have to thank this guy for reminding me to eat because I can go days and nights studying without any food.

I have a feeling even that guy forgets to eat from time to time. Anyways it was an uneventful day.

I tasted the lasagna and all I thought was that it was eatable. But it's that guy's fault, he made it.

I do look forward to tomorrow's lectures. But I am not that excited to interact with this guy.
But on that thought, let's just sleep for now.
