"Don't shut me out like this!"

I recall falling asleep while watching a movie with Mycroft in the theatre room, so I suppose that he took me to our bedroom when I woke up to find myself in the bed with his arm over me and his blue-gray eyes staring at me.

I said, "Good morning," kissed his cheek, and buried my head in his neck.

He kissed my head and mumbled, "Morning."

"I'm sorry for falling asleep while we were watching," I apologised.

He said, "It's okay my dear," while drawing shadowy lines on my arm.

We take a little longer to get out of bed, but once we do, we change, take a shower, and get dressed. We are now eating breakfast in the dining room when I suddenly start receiving a lot of text messages from Fury and Natasha, but I ignored them and didn't notice that Mycroft was also looking at my phone, which is overflowing with messages.

"Why are you not answering?" Mycroft questioned as he sipped his earl grey tea. I disregarded his inquiry since I didn't want to talk to him about what occurred at S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Y/n," he muttered, attempting to catch my attention. He groaned, and I noticed him roll his eyes from my peripheral vision.

"Why is Mr Fury contacting you?" Mycroft inquired, his gaze fixed on me.

"Can we not talk about this, Mycroft?" I requested, stopped eating my breakfast because I had lost my appetite, getting up from my chair, and grabbing my phone.

Mycroft rises as well, clutching my wrist to prevent me from leaving.

Mycroft turned me around so I was facing him and asked, "What happened? Why are you avoiding this topic? Why are you suddenly secretive after you got back from America?"

I snarled, without looking at him or making eye contact, "Let me go, Mycroft."

Mycroft demanded, holding my chin and said, "Tell me Y/n, why are you being like this. Sherlock and I can't deduce you anymore." I continued to refuse to look into his eyes.

I said, "You can't help me, Mycroft," and I shook his hand off my wrist and walked away.

I kept walking away despite hearing him yell, "Don't shut me out like this!"

I exited the home, threw my coat on, got in my car, and directed the driver to Baker Street.

Timeskip

When I get to Baker Street, I notice Sherlock and John exiting the flat; John was going to the sandwich shop, while Sherlock approached me as I exited.

"Oh Hey Y/n," John said.

I greeted John and patted Sherlock on the shoulder before following John inside the cafe.

While Sherlock sat in front of us, I sat next to John. When the waiter came over and asked what we wanted to get, John selected the English breakfast, which includes greasy bacon, eggs, and other items. I rejected, saying I had breakfast earlier.

After a short wait, John's food was delivered, and he immediately began to devour it as Sherlock and I discussed the information we know about the bomber.

John said, "Mm! Christ, we haven't stopped for breath since this thing started," when Sherlock asked him if he was feeling better. As he continued to eat, I remained silent because the argument I had with Mycroft was still upsetting me.

I didn't really listen when Sherlock and John were talking about the bomber playing a game with Sherlock since I was still immersed in my own thoughts.

My thoughts were interrupted by the phone's beeping. When Sherlock picked up the phone, it displayed a picture of a woman that I didn't recognise.
