"This is dumb," Maria said while she looked at her best friend's laptop

"This is dumb," Maria said while she looked at her best friend's laptop.

Sara laughed

"Dumb or smart?"

"I can't believe this is my last option, I am really having you fill out my dating profile."

"Calm your tits, and it's just a simple coffee date not a hookup."

"Whatever, I am meeting a complete stranger for coffee, perfect example of how to get killed."

Maria moved the mouse cautiously around the terrifying button. She was in desperate need of a date to accompany her to her new brother's wedding because the past year had been a nightmare. She was so desperate that she pressed the button.

"Yay, you did it!!" Sara jumped up on the couch, "It starts off with coffee, then a wedding, and ends up with you falling in love."

"You know you watch too many romance movies."

"I know, but you know it could really happen," Sara says sitting back down on the couch grabbing the half-empty wine bottle.

"I guess,  but I'm not getting my hopes up, but I wish I was rich so I can get one of those fancy escorts, like in the movies."

"Mar you are rich."

"No, my brothers are rich not me."

Sara handed Maria one of the glasses after pouring the remaining wine into both their glasses.

"Look I know this is new for you, but if someone is willing to offer you tons of money, you need to take it."

"I told you there is no way I'm taking no money from Matt. Money has been the root of so many problems in my life and I don't want Matthew and Jonah to be hateful toward me over it.

"But they are the ones offering it. It's not like you asked them, beside look at it this way; if your father had stayed with your mother, then the bussiness and money would have been left with you."

"But he didn't, did he?"

Maria was raised in foster homes until she turned 18 and was finally free to live alone. She had only recently discovered the passing of both of her birth parents. Her father had been alive but had never once looked for her; her mother had died after her delivery from difficulties. She nearly lost it when her cousin Ethan arrived at her home and revealed that he believed they were kin. She had discovered after approximately a year that she not only had a cousin, but also two brothers. The boys were his sons from his marriage, and her mother was his mistress. Long before she met them, he passed away from cancer, but from what Matthew and Jonah had told her, she was better off not knowing him.

She grabbed the remote to start the television in an attempt to change the topic, but was stopped by a message on Sara's laptop. "Oh my, you already have a match."

"That can't be right, it's almost midnight."

"It says here you can have a virtual meeting with your match in the morning to learn more about him or you can download his information now."

 "Download it," Maria said.

After checking a few boxes and agreeing to some disclaimers she didn't have time to read, Sara started downloading the file.

"We need more wine for this don't you think."

While Maria nearly fell out of her chair while waiting for the tiny spinning circle to stop so she could open the file, Sara walked to the kitchen and opened another bottle. When it was finally ready, she clicked on it, and the very first image that appeared was of the most beautiful man she had ever seen. His tattoos that ran up his arms and down his sleeves caught her eye more than his short, wavy brown hair and emerald eyes. She had never seen anything like these before; they were vibrant. He looked like a frat boy who had just wandered off the beach by the way he was dressed. She could see the ink going up the side of his neck in the one place she couldn't see from the angle he was standing in because he was wearing swim trunks and a tank top. She was compelled to explore the area.

"Wow, he's actually hot."

"What? Wait for me Mar."

While returning to Maria's apartment's small living room, Sara almost tripped. Her mouth dropped open as she turned the laptop to view.
