"Did you bid your whore farewell, or did I get it wrong and Maria is the side piece?"
Daniel protested as Nico carried him across the hotel lobby, "It's not like that."
Sir, Sir!" The morning security guy crossed the lobby yelled and said, "Please take your hands off of Mr. Richardson."
"Don't worry, Bernie. The situation is okay."
"However, your father, sir"
I appreciate you as a person, Bernie, but at this time, I don't want to hear anything about my father." Sebastian pushed Daniel into the awaiting elevator as Daniel said, "Go back to work."
"Are you kidding me? You're a piece of work. Maria was lured in, lied to, and then you showed up at our family's wedding in a hotel that you own, keeping it all from her. Really, did you believe you could get away with it?"
Daniel chose not to respond. No response was what Sebastian desired. He only intended to make him angry. He was certain he didn't want to mess with the man after learning what little there was about him during the previous two days. certainly not right now. He pushed Daniel down the hallway toward the room when the elevator door opened, and when they got there, he started pounding on the door.
"I've got a key."
Sebastian continued to bang, saying, "I don't give a fuck," before Bruno answered and they entered.
He pushed Daniel into a chair in the kitchen area and muttered, "Sit."
Daniel could see Maria and her cousin in their bedroom. He could tell she had been crying even though the glass doors were closed. The sight of her in such distress tore something deep within him that he was unaware of. She turned to face the doors as she stood. She opened them and then moved to the opposite side of the table to sit.
Sebastian ordered, "Talk."
Ethan had just entered the room, and Bruno suggested, "Maybe we should give them some privacy."
"I'll stay, you two leave."
"But Ethan..."
"Sebastian, leave now, and don't press me to repeat again."
Sebastian muttered as he left the room, "Fucking shit, I never get to have any fun anymore."
Maria was passed by Bruno, who gave her a head kiss. "If you need us, we'll just be downstairs."
She smiled before turning to face Ethan. "I won't leave you with him by yourself. So speak. I'll be here."
Daniel began when Ethan took a seat in the bedroom. "I wanted to tell you everything, Maria. I tried, I really did, but everything was so difficult. The situation is so complicated that I decided it would be best to wait. I obviously made a bad choice, and I'll do all in my power to make it up to you."
