"Are you certain that staying with Matthew and Angela for the weekend won't cause any problems?"
"I'll be alright. Since I haven't been around much since coming to town, Angela has been making me feel guilty.
"We agreed to divide our time with her, but you've already been here for more than a month. I can imagine how much she misses you." Maria said while winking.
"I feel like I've only just arrived and time is running out."
"Your dad and Cleo are really missing you,"
"I know. Every day he has called to let me know.
"It must be strange at home without you, I'm sure."
"He's driving me crazy, but they didn't call as much when they were on their honeymoon."
"He is your father. I believe they are intended to drive you crazy."
"What time will Daniel arrive?"
"Not until eight or later. Since we would be away for the weekend, he had to stay to shut the center tonight. I find it unbelievable that he has still not told me our destination."
"However, surprises are enjoyable, aren't they?"
"Perhaps when you're eighteen, they're entertaining, but when you're in your thirties, it's a little disconcerting to not know what to bring for a weekend getaway with your boyfriend."
"It's awesome that the two of you reunited. I never get these things wrong when I tell you that someone will become my next uncle."
"Stop drawing conclusions too quickly, please. Don't forget that Ethan and your father still despise him."
"The term detest is quite powerful. Dad may be irritated, but he doesn't actually despise many people. But Ethan is a different story; although he is friendly to me, there are times when he may be a little frightening. Additionally, Cleo won't permit dad to cause you any more issues than he already has."
"He hasn't caused me any issues,"
"Maria, you need to remember who you are speaking to. Remember that I frequently hack into his phone and computer?"
"How on earth have you avoided detection?"
She laughed as she continued, "I'm simply that talented."
"When you get at Columbia University in the fall, they won't know what hit them."
"I really hope not. I intend to attend, do some buttkicking, and then go. I only wish my father had agreed to let me attend school outside of town. It would have been a lot more enjoyable."
"You are more familiar with your father than I am, but I don't believe it is even somewhat possible."
"No, it isn't. I'm aiming to finish packing my belongings. A short while ago, Angela texted to say she would arrive shortly."
