Jade...

Today I found myself standing in front of Dr. William's brother's mansion. It seems a bit familiar but I don't know. He sent me the location yesterday itself , and told me to meet him on time. So here I am.

Aunt still isn't convinced of me working as an bodyguard. It took everything in me to come here.

I rang the bell, waiting for the door to open.

The door opened and Dr. grinned at me.

"Come on, Jade, we've been waiting for you." he said, still grinning.

I smiled and walked inside. It's an amazing mansion, fully white-themed.

We walked into what seemed like an office. There's a table and a rack of books beside it. all in white. A man in his forties is sitting at the table focused on a pile of papers. whom I assumed was Michael. He raised his head, and looked struck as he saw me.

"This is Jade." Dr. William introduced me to Michael.

"Please take a seat," he said, gesturing his hands towards the seat.

I sat across from Michael. He shook his head as though to wipe away all his thoughts.

"My name is Michael Davis," he said.

"I'm Jade Martin."

"So Jade, how old are you?" he asked.

"Seventeen" I said, he winced and looked up at his brother, who was standing beside the table.

"Do you have any work experience?"

"No, sir."

He looked up at his brother. "You sure?" he asked

"Trust me, Michael; she will be perfect,." he assured. I don't know why he was defending me.

"Can you show me your power?" he asked. It was my turn to look at the doctor. I told him not to tell anyone about what he saw.

"Sorry, Jade. I had to tell him about your power," he said. I nodded.
I took a deep breath. I focused my gaze on Michael and lifted my arms. Everything in the room, including Michael in his chair, leapt into the air.

"Get me down," he said. He looked afraid. I lifted my hands down, and everything settled in its own place.

Michael is breathing heavily. He said, handing me the paper." I trust you. Protect my son and this will be your reward." I looked down to see the amount of money written. Yay! I don't think I'll have to go to work any more.

"Are you ready for this job?" he asked.

"Of course", I said, handing back the paper.

He said, "Fine then, your money will be transferred to your account." "Call Aiden," he added to the doctor, who walked out of the room. Aiden must be his son.

"See, I have a lot of enemies. I got a call threatening me. I'm afraid of my son's life. Your duty is to protect him."

"I know I'll protect him with my life," I assured. It doesn't take a lot of effort to take care of a little boy. I can do it.

"Are you insane?" came a voice. I turned to see a handsome boy about my age. He is wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie. He looked as soon as he caught me looking.

"Come here, Aiden."

Aiden? Is he the boy I'm meant to guard? He was supposed to be small.

"She will be your bodyguard," said Michael, pointing at me.

"How old are you?" Aiden asked me. His expression was blank.

"Seventeen"

"Really?" he asked, looking shocked and disgusted. "Is she supposed to guard me?" he added to Michael.

"Yes," said Michael.

"I don't understand. If a girl can guard me, why can't I do it myself?" he said.

"See? She is younger than me."

"It's not about age, Aiden. It's about courage," said Dr.

"Whatever, I don't need a bodyguard." He said, kicking a chair, and walked out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him. He's going to be my headache.

"You can move here tomorrow, you have to change your school" said Michael.

"Do I have to change my school?"

"Yes. You have to change your school."

"Alright." I shook both of their hands and walked out of the room.

I have to change my school at senior year? Ugh!!!
