Jade..

Trust! It's an important thing which isn't easy to acquire. I have to tell Michael about William. But whom does he trust? his beloved brother or an unsuccessful young bodyguard. Of course, his brother But yet I have to try this.

"William?" I ask.

"Yes, William was here in the morning. He said he'd drop Aiden off at school."

No no no no, this can't happen.

"But Aiden wasn't at school." I yelled.

"How came he wasn't at school?" he yells back.

"Michael, we have to talk. You have to listen to me ! Calmly, okay! "

"How can I listen? My son is missing! "

"I know, but I'm sure he'll be with William."

"What?"

"Listen, I was at the hospital where William is  working. I saw him talking to a truck driver." I told him the rest of the story, including Sophie's death, no murder, Michael looked thunder struck, but I don't think he believed me.

"You're mad! How can he kill Sophie?" His voice breaks with emotion as he says her name. "If he did, why?"

"I don't know. I too want to know the reason. I wanted to tell Aiden that's why I came here at this hour."

"You're lying."

"--no she's not," interrupted Charlie, as we both looked at her unbelievably.

"What?" asks Michael.

"Whatever she said is true," says Charlie. How does she know that? She's facing the floor. She's not looking at either of us.

"How did you know?"

"I always wanted to tell you this, but I was afraid. I was afraid if I ever told you this, you would fire me. I would have told you this even if you fired me, but I was afraid of my life. He threatened to kill me if I ever mentioned this to you," she says.

"What. are. you. saying ?" asks Michael.

"The day Sophie got murdered"

"She wasn't MURDERED!" Michael shouts

"Of course she was!" She shouts back, now looking Michael in the eye. Her eyes are blurred with unshed tears. "Of course she was Michael, she was murdered."

"What the?"

"You were on a business trip when I heard a man's voice from Sophie's room and thought you were there. But then I heard another male voice, so I opened the door a bit to see Sophie lying unconscious on the bed and William and another male standing next to that with a rope. William said thanks to that person for helping to kill her, i was really shocked I had to keep hands on my mouth to keep it silent but he heard the chattering of my teeth, i tried to run but my feets were too weak for that, He grabbed me, pinning me against the wall and squeezing my throat hard until I couldn't breathe. That's when you knocked on the door. He released me, then threatened me not to tell you or else he would kill me. He told you he found Sophie hanged on the fan, which is why I'm crying. He made you believe it was an accident because, after all, he was a doctor, so you believed. Every time he saw me, he reminded me of that. He reminded me to kill me if I ever said anything. That's why I stared hiding whenever he came. I wanted to tell you many times, but have you believed me? No, of course not. You would fire me and tell William about what I said, and what would happen. So I waited. I waited this long, hoping there would be a day like this. "

Was that why her expression looked unreadable whenever she talked about Sophie?

Michael walked towards the couch and sat down. He was shaking.

"So my whole life was a lie? My brother, whom I trusted, betrayed me. He killed the love of my life!! " He says

"That's not the matter here," I say. "We need to find Aiden."

"Yes.. we need to find him." Says Michael, getting to his feet.

Give me Williams' location. I will call you when I find aiden.

"I will come with you."

"I'll call you. Until then, wait here and call me if ever Aiden comes. "I said." He gave me Williams' location, and I made my way to Williams. Michael let his driver drive me to Williams. I told him to stop at a distance from his home, and he did.

I walked towards the gate, pushed it open, and walked inside I hadn't taken three whole steps when something hard hit my head, making me go into my knees. I clutched my head. It feels so horrible, it's painful. I shut my eyes. I heard footsteps in front of me. I opened my eyes to see William standing in front of me with an evil smirk.

"I knew you would come. I saw you running from the car park," he says. Then something hit my head hard again, but that wasn't William's hitting. I fell to the ground with a thud. I turned my head to see that truck driver, standing with a log in his hand. Before I could know anything, everything was blacked out.
