Chapter 1: Welcome To Gold Coast

"Hello, I'm Hazel Harriet. I'm from Tybee Island, Georgia. I moved here a year ago and I have a part-time job at the Gold Coast Cafe. We moved to Georgia because my Father obtained a job offer here. We used to be very poor. However, everything is so much better!" Hazel proudly says.

"Alright! Thanks for sharing Hazel, You can take a seat," Ms. Robinson happily says as hazel sits down.

"Alright, can we get a Nancy Levine?"

Nancy raises her hand, excited to speak

"Okay, Please come up Nancy."

Nancy walks up to the front of the classroom while everyone is staring at her, feeling a little off

"Hi, my name is Nancy Levine, I'm 17 years old and I've lived here my whole life. When I was 14 I was a junior lifeguard but I don't do that anymore," Nancy  says happily.

"Okay, thank you nancy. You may take a seat," Ms. Robinson says.

"Oh okay thank you," Nancy says while taking a seat and fidgeting with her pencil.

"Great! Now last but not least, Zoe!" Ms. Robinson says proudly.

Zoe walks up to the front of the classroom.

"Hi everyone, my name is Zoe Morai, and I'm 16 years old. I- I don't do much but I love to swim. My passion is to be a popular swimmer. I moved here when I was 7 from Canada, when I moved here that's when I got into swimming," Zoe says excitingly.

"Incredible Zoe, I believe you can do anything you put your mind to!" Ms. Robinson stated knowing Zoe really well.

"Thanks, Ms. Robinson," Zoe sympathized.

5 hours later at the end of the day, Nancy and Hazel go to their lockers which are right beside each other opening it to grab there backpack and school supplies

"Hey, Nance. How were your classes?" Hazel says happily.

"They were fine. just very long and boring. How were yours?" Nancy says while grabbing her books and backpack.

"Kinda the same, Extremely long," Hazel says exaggerating.

"Well after school I was thinking about using my brother's boat to go to mako. Wanna come along?"Nancy says.

"Maybe, give me an hour or so to think about it,"Hazel exclaims.

"Ok, just call me," Nancy says while walking outside, sitting on a bench with Hazel.

"Will Do," Hazel exclaims.

Hazel and Nancy hear hazels father's car horn.

"Well, looks like my dads here, Let's get into the car." Hazel says as her and Nancy get up from the bench.

"Ok," Nancy says.

Nancy and hazel walk down the stairs and get into the car.

"Hey, Dad! Can I possibly go with Nancy to Mako Island?" Hazel says to her father while her and Nancy strap there seatbelts.

"Well, who's driving?" Hazel's dad, Jeremy asks as he starts to drive to Nancy's house.

"Oh uh, Nancy's brother," Hazels say lying looking at Nancy.

"Hm, does he have a license?" Jeremy asks.

"Of course!" Hazel says.

"And Nancy it's okay with your parents and your brother is fine with taking Hazel along?" Jeremy asks looking at Nancy.

"Yeah! He goes on his boat all the time," Nancy explains.

"Well. That settles it, You can go. Have you made up your mind yet?" Jeremy asks while passing Hazels house.

"Yeah, you know what, I will go, Dad can you just go ahead and drop me off at Nancy's house?" Hazel asks.

"Of course! You got everything?" Jeremy asks.

"Yup," Hazel says as her and Nancy start jumping in there seats.

"Ok!" Jeremy says.

"Yes! I'm so glad you're going Hazel," Nancy says excitedly.

Jeremy drives until he gets to Nancy's house and stopped right in front of her house.

"We're here!" Hazel and Nancy say happily taking off her seatbelt and opening the door.

"Love you, dad! Thanks for dropping me off at Nancy's," Hazel says while her father gets out the car and hugs Hazel.

"Sure! Anything you need Hazel!" Jeremy says as Nancy and Hazel walk out of the car.

Jeremy drives away.

"It looks like we got about 2 hours until my brother leaves, and then we will "borrow" his boat and ride to Mako," Nancy exclaims as Hazel and Nancy stroll into the house.

2 Hours Later Nancy hears her brother "Micheal" leave the house while they are doing each others makeup.

Nancy and Hazel walk down the stairs and out the back door and see Micheal's boat.

"Well looks like he left! We can use it now!" Nancy says excitedly while she and Hazel walk up to the boat and get in it.

"Well let's get a move on" Nancy says while pulling the boat motor and driving away from the pier.

Hazel and Nancy are in the boat while Nancy drives the boat into the ocean.
