A new Boy in Berk: Riders of Berk

Thawfest

Every year on Berk they test their strength, endurance and courage in the annual Thawfest games, but that's never been a good time for Hiccup but this time it can be different because for the first time the Thawfest includes dragons

(Dragon academy)

At the academy the safety cage was raised and some benches had been set as well as some flags

"Dragons are now officially part of the Thawfest!" Gobber announced "There'll be three additional events"

"The first is the flying and shot, which will require you to fly straight and shot straighter" Gobber explained but he ducked when Tuffnut and Ruffnut fired a shot from their dragon

"Sorry, we're on the wrong heads" Tuffnut apologized "I knew something felt weird" Ruffnut said as she and Tuffnut switched places

"Next is the freestyle" Gobber said "It's up to you to impress the judges with a trick of your choise"

They all looked up and saw Stormfly flying while Astrid made some acrobatics "That it girl, just like we practice" Astrid said

"The Nadder wing-walk, impressive, Astrid" Gobber complimented

"Uh, excuse me" Fishlegs said raising his hand "Meatlug and I were wondering if there were going to be any intellectual events, a puzzle perhaps"

"I'll take that under advisement Fishlegs" Gobber said placing a hand on Fishlegs shoulder

"And let's not forget hurdles, you'll be asked to-" Gobber said but he was interrupted when Snotlout and Hookfang landed heavily on the ground

Snotlout jumped off Hookfang wearing all of the medals than he has won from previous years

"You know what I love the most about the Thawfest?" Snotlout asked "Winning! Want to touch one of my medals, just to see what it feels to be a winner?"

"I think I'll pass" Hiccup muttered

"My family has never lost a Thawfest game, ever!" Snotlout cheered

"Dragons or no dragons, I'm going to do what I do every year, bring glory to my clan, and you useless will do what you do, embarrass yours" Snotlout said

"Let's go Hookfang" Snotlout said jumping on his dragon's neck "I will crush you all!"

(Hiccup's house)

Later that night Hiccup was drawing new designs for Toothless tail, at that moment Stoick walked in and looked at his son

"What are you working on?" Stoick asked curiously

"Just some ideas for the Thawfest" Hiccup said

"Right... excellent..." Stoick said watching Hiccup work creating an awkward silence

"So... did you need something dad?" Hiccup asked breaking the silence

"Oh, well, with the dragons you could actually, uh..." Stoick said trying to find the right words

"Beat Snotlout? Best the Jorgensons?" Hiccup finished

"Well, when you put it that way it does have a nice ring" Stoick said creating another moment of awkward silence "Okay then, I'll let you get back to whatever it is you do"

Stoick walked downstairs awkwardly allowing Hiccup to get back to work preparing for the games tomorrow

The next day at the academy the entire village reunited there the begin with the Thawfest

"Let the Thawfestival games begin!" Stoick announced as he opened a chest revealing some multi colored Terrible Terrors who flew away making the Vikings cheer
