"Wanna just order a pizza?" He turned to me with puppy eyes and I couldn't help but to stare at him in amazement at the absolute adorable mess this man was. Crouching on the floor in front of his freezer and staring up at me through his eyelashes I really wondered how he could make such normal and mundane things so beautiful though it was definitely him and never the action in question. He truly was captivating.

"Hey." He had stood up and snapped a finger in my face. "Earth to Alice."

"What? Sorry yea pizza's fine." I felt my face burning as he inevitably knew I had just spaced out staring at him.

He sent me an amused glance before picking up the phone and ordering a meat lovers pizza and I laughed because it made sense I thought.

"What's so funny?" He mused in my direction with a cocked eyebrow.

"Nothin', just think it fits is all." I shrugged with a cute smile.

"Does it now?" He pondered for a moment. "Then what's your pizza order?"

"I'd pick ham and pineapple." When I spoke his face twisted into confusion and then quickly disgust, as if I had offended him morally somehow.

"Pineapple?" His hand was on his heart as if protecting himself from a grievous attack on his life. "You've got problems."

"Damn." I laughed and flicked his forehead. "Didn't know my pizza preferences would be what ruined my chances."

"Didn't say that." He shot back with a smirk. "You can make it up to me by having better food preferences later."

"Oh, you're one to talk." I crossed my arms with a defiant glare up at him. "My kitchen and cooking skills far outclass yours."

"You've never had my cooking." He leaned forward, holding my eyes in a challenge.

"Don't need to when your kitchen is as woefully stocked as this." I hoped it wasn't coming of at jabbing at the fact my family had more money because it was definitely the fact that he primarily had crackers and candy. "How are you going to make dinner with chips and chocolates?"

He opened his mouth as if to argue back but unlike usual he didn't seem to have a witty response. He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Okay, I'm actually not a very good cook."

I smiled confidently up at him. "I'm not either but I'm certainly better than you."

He laughed at this before opening his mouth to challenge me once again. "Oh yea? Show me then babe."

"Alright then next time we hang out it'll be at my place." I jabbed his chest with my finger.

"I'd love to see it." His words hit me with warmth, I knew it meant nothing, but he'd said love and I knew I was red in the face again.

"I'm actually pretty good at baking rather than cooking." I spoke softly, with a small smile. "I'd really rather show that off, though for you Eds, I'll do both."

"'M truly flattered." His grin was wide and I wasn't sure why that's when it hit me how close we'd been standing this whole time and how close his face was to mine once again. Gods I really don't think he knew how badly I wanted to kiss him.
