Tonight was one of those times where you'd wish Mama didn't request your husband's presence by her side at the capital.

Droplets violently crashed against your face, the wind made your body tremble, your arms hurt from how many things you had slashed, and your throat threatened to burn each time you called out to citizens to shield cover at the city hall. You started to get out of breath. You rushed inside a bakery to regain your composure.

"I'm starting to get too old for this..." Like your husband, you were in your fifties. You didnt owned the same iron healt as him though.

"(y/n)-sama?"

"Huh?" you look toward the voice to realize that a good dozen of citizens sought refuge in that shop. How didn't I see them? You had to hold back to not give yourself a few little slaps to wake up. "Is anyone hurt?"

A woman wolf mink walked towards you with her newborn son in her arms. "My son has a fever!"

"If I may?" you asked as you reached for the baby's forehead. He was boiling. "We have to bring him at the city hall. My daughter will help you."

"But it's dangerous outside!" declared a long-neck folk.

"I understand your concern, however, I can't guarantee your safety if you stay here for the night."

The man sighed as you removed your coat to cover the sick newborn. The mother thanked you from the bottom of her heart as you made your way toward the store's door. "Everyone's ready for the run of their life?" you joked to lighten the atmosphere.

Once it was all set you kicked the door open and left after you made sure everyone had left the comfort of the bakery and started to run. You thought everything would turn out smooth when you saw the city hall appear at the end of the street but a candy cane streetlight threatened to crash on the mother. You rushed in front of her, took out your sword and slice the said danger in tiny pieces. Everything went on smoothly

"Keep going! We're almost there!"

It's only when everyone safely entered the building that you went to check on the mink and the others. Certain that everyone you accompanied was safe and sound, you turned around to face the harsh reality. Thousands of citizens stuck in one building. Some injured and you couldnt help them. You heart squeezed in your chest.

While you were eying the crowd, you noticed that a blue-haired was moving toward you and eventually, your daughter's face appeared. She was now a young adult. Kids really do grow fast. "Mom, are you ok?"

"I am." You proudly smiled at her as you asked the crowd to turn it down. Once it was calm, you coughed to clear up your voice. "It's a long nigth for everyone, I know. But I must ask for your help. Those that can help clean the island tomorrow, please do. Everything you'll need can be found in the storage. Vanilla will show you the way when the time comes and she'll help you install yourselves for the night. May you all forgive me for being so demanding."
