Loud noises echoed in the corridors as your troops and you entered within the headquarters. The mission was an epic fail. So, once again you found yourself wondering on what you had done to deserve such pitiful soldiers. The mere soldiers you could understand but Rokkaku? The Lieutenant Junior Grade wasn't the type to lack such focus and allow a mission to fail this way. Neither did you but you were very insulted the one you had suggest for a promotion let you down like that. "You're all off duty," you declared with a vigorous action. The young fellas stormed off but you grabbed the aformentionned brunette's shoulder before he could even motion toward the exit. "Sir?" Slowly, you filled your lungs with air before exhaling silently before starting the embarrassment of the poor fella. "I feel like I asked too much of you. After all, I'm sure you did your very best," you ironically said with the highest voice pitch you could reach. This caused the already embarrassed soldier to become one with the red wall behind him. "Vice-Admiral," he sheepishly saluted before you departed, exasperate and tired. You needed to relax, crash and cuddle your lover so you rushed into his office. You childishly knocked rhythmically before entering Smoker's temporary office in the old saggy building your superiors told you to use as a base. There he was, sitting casually, feet on the top of the old desk reading a journal as he took puffs of his cigars there and there. He appeared to be so peaceful and focused that he didn't even flinch at your arrival. It means he didn't hear. "Smoky?" you called out teasingly yet peacefully. Then and only then did your lover look at you. "Don't call me that." You puffed your cheeks but your childish behaviour didn't make your lover flinch the slightest. You sneaked behind his journal before pulling it down by forcing your fingers on the other side. "What do you want?" Wasn't it obvious enough? "Affection!"

"Huh?"

"Affection," you repeated as you slammed the journal on the wooden surface, daring Smoker in the eyes. "Let me guess, the mission didn't go as planned?" he asked as he put his feet down. You slid between the desk and the shelves so you stood next to the man. "It was terrible." You got on your knees as you slid your head on his neck. "I, therefore, request cuddles." Smoker wasn't the cuddly type, no surprise there but once in a while he'd let his ego slip and welcome you with open arms. It could appear as the least he could do as a partner but you knew better so each time he gave you a bit of himself you always thanked him and from time to time, get him fancy cigars. It was a give/give relationship, just like you loved it. "I swear you're more demanding than a teenager." He could also say stuff like that at times.
