"Boa!"

"I SAID NO! I will get you out of here, no matter what! I promised!" She had never raised her voice before. Taught it was useless under the whips of the guilty. Hopeless, she cried. "SOMEONE! PLEASE! WE NEED HELP! ANYONE!" And you, you could only cry out in pain, begging to be saved, as prayers never lead you anywhere.

It took a moment for people to accept your presence here. Just like Rayleigh, you had to prove yourself worthy of their trust. After all, despite your view of yourself, your physique was one of a man. Severe, they judged you up and down and only when did Boa become Empress did they truly accept you. A shame it took someone of a high position but it was still a win. After all these young gals held no ill intentions: they were raised secluded on an island of only women.

Another thing you owed her. She never accepted your thanks.

Speaking of her there you saw the Empress lying on the warm sand. "Boa?" you asked, once next to her.

"Don't you see I'm focused?" she retorted, unbothered to even open her eyes. Closed as her share of the past. Stubbornly choosing to avoid simply talking about it. Hiding it deep below. She'd cried and swore an oath against the world for what they did to her. You, on the other end, spoke of it, even embraced and laughed about it. The two sides of the coin, truly.

She sighed. "I am." Stretching out she seated up, her long luscious locks sailing behind her under the ocean breeze. Sand dust floating around.

You sat by her side. Boa was too proud to ever admit she seeked help but you knew better. "Have you talked with Sony and Mary?"

"No. I wouldn't want to bother them with that. I'm the leader."

"Maybe you should."

"Don't tell me what to do!" Prideful and egotistical indeed.

"You're human. You'll end up being exhausted, just face it before it's too late, will you?"

She took a handful of sand to throw at your chest. "There you are, telling me what to do again!" and she'd gasped as if you had committed high treason. "I'm merely making suggestions..." you said.

"You sure are," she retorts, acting all insulted. Standing up, she brushed the sand off her skirt. "What are you doing?"

"Your behaviour is very much excruciating and I will leave you to it!"

"Sure do!"

What united you, despite your ditch of differences, was your past.

This was the sole reason you didn't regret any of it. And the sole reason you tolerated her dramatic behaviour with a smile on your face. You owed her everything, in the end.

I did not want to make a part just about the fact the reader is trans. Trans is an identity and not a personality trait. I really want to focus on that in my readings and I think it's important to share too. I just hope I managed to do it right.
