"Beep. Beep. Beep." That's is the sound that Thirteen hears when she wakes up.

"Hey Thee, this is day 153 of you here. Today I'm going to read you one of my favorite books. I know, you're probably thinking, Steve Harrington? You have a favorite book?" Steve sits next to Thirteen in the hospital. Thirteen has been in a coma for 153 days now and Steve almost never leaves.

"My grandma actually used to read me this book. It's one the only books that I've ever read so that why it's my favorite." Steve laughs. He looks at Thirteen. He misses her more than anything and really wants her to wake up.

"So this book is called, 'The Witches' it's by Roald Dahl." Steve goes on. "In fairy-tales, witches always wear silly black hats and black cloaks, and they ride on broomsticks."

Steve reads the whole book to Thirteen, hoping she'll wake up. Steve sighs after a few minutes. Thirteen doesn't have anymore injuries but if she wakes up, she'll need physical therapy. She has multiple scars now all over her body.

Steve holds Thirteens hand. "I love you Thee." Steve says. "Please wake up."

Steve puts on "California Dreamin'" and he sings along to it, hoping Thee can hear it.

"All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey, I've been for a walk, on a winters day. California Dreamin' on such a winters day." Steve sings. He turns off the music and starts crying.

"P-please Thee. I don't know how much longer I can do this without you." Steve sobs. He sniffles. "No, I have to stay positive for you, I'm sorry."

"You know, your birthday is tomorrow. They did a blood test and everything." Steve says. "January 13th. What a surprise. I hope you wake up to see the snow. It's beautiful."

The next day, Steve walks into Thee's hospital room with balloons and some cookies. He got her some presents too.

"Happy Birthday Thee!!" Steve says. "I got you some cookies and some balloons and gifts. I'll let you open the gifts whenever you wake up." Steve says. "Todays gonna be the day Thee. I know it will be. I can feel it."

Steve plays "You don't mess around with Jim."
"Thee, I'm playing your favorite song. Remember when we screamed the lyrics in the mall?" Steve chuckles. "I hope we can do that somewhere again." Steve holds Thee's hand.

"They say you don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind,
You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger and you don't mess around with Jim!" Steve sings.

Thirteens hand squeezes Steve's. Steve's eyes go wide. Steve goes to the door. "Doctor!!" He yells.

Steve goes back to Thee. He hood her hand. "Squeeze my hand if you can hear me. Please baby."

Thirteens hand squeezes Steves and Steve smiles so big.

A doctor runs in. "She squeezed my hand!!" Steve says in excitement.

The doctor smiles. "That's good. She has a good chance of waking up soon."

Steve sits on his chair and smiles.
