My Little Lily (Gyutaro x reader)

Chapter Fifteen

(A/N- so....I really suck at battle scenes. But I'll try my best. And the battle won't be exact same as the anime/manga. Don't come after me 😅)

I sat on my bed, wrapped up in my blanket and spacing off. It's been two days now. Two days of not seeing Gyutaro, hearing Daki complain about something or being a brat. I've gone over a lot of pros and cons for my decision. And honestly, I don't know what to chose. I have so many friends but I've come to love Gyutaro. Tomorrow is my last day to give them my decision. Or so I thought.

A fight could be heard outside my window. Familiar yelling peaked my interest. I stood up slowly, holding onto the blanket as I peaked out the window. My eyes widened, Gyutaro and Uzui were fighting. Both seemed to be holding their own against each other. Uzui's breathing seemed shaky and his skin was turning purple? Was he poisoned?

I tightened my hold against the blanket. Do I help? If so, who? I froze, Gyutaro suddenly stopped moving and Tanjiro was right there, blade right at Gyutaro's neck. My body reacted before I could think, releasing my grip from the blanket and leaning out the window. "No Tanjiro!" My yelling caused hesitation in Tanjiro finishing the final blow.

Gyutaro smirked, using his blood demon art to push Tanjiro and Uzui back. Uzui got back up almost immediately, but I didn't see where Tanjiro went. Before I could further investigate, I felt something wrap around my waist and yank me away, pulling me throughout the building before reaching what looked like Daki's room. It was a total disaster now, barely recognizable. When did this all happen?

"Listen Y/N!" I looked around, trying to figure out where Daki's voice was coming from. "Gyutaro loves you" I felt shocked at what she was saying "and if you choose to remain part human, I'll never forgive you!" I noticed fighting on top of the next building. It was Daki holding her own against Zenitsu and Inosuke.

She glanced at me before focusing her attention back to the boys "But that won't stop him from protecting you!" She took a step back, she was on the defense now. I was ready to jump out the window but her sash blocked my way. "If you help us, you'll be hunted down for the rest of your life by the demon corp. You'll never see the sun again."

I placed my hand over my heart, was she trying to talk me out of it? Why? Will she benefit from me not joining them? "But...." I heard her grunt, I tried finding an opening to see what's going on. "I started seeing you as my sister and it's been kinda fun even if you are a brat!" I felt tears threatening, I bit my lip, trying to stop myself from crying.

"Daki...." I closed my eyes, taking in a deep breath. It's now or never. Human or demon? I open my eyes "I've made my decision!" I could hear the smirk in her voice "good....now go help Gyutaro!"

*Gyutaro's POV*
I looked at my hand, bastard sliced it right off. The boy and the hashira attacked at the same time, aiming for my neck. My hand regenerating quickly, I grabbed both of their swords, cutting my hands. The hashira attacked with the other blade, I spun my head around to bite the tip, smirking at him.

I used my blood demon art to push them away. The hashira landed on his feet with ease while the boy took off with the girl who attacked me earlier. "You bastard, I'll kill you for laying a finger on my wife!" I tilted my head, scratching my neck roughly. Annoyed that he hasn't died yet.

"Wife huh...?" The man scoffs "Guess a monster like you would never know what it's like to cherish someone!" I frowned, deepening the scratches. "And what have you done to Y/N? Have you tricked her?!" I growled "A girl like her would never be willing to stay with you monsters!" This guy was seriously getting on my nerves.

'I know I'm a monster and he speaks the truth. Y/N is beautiful....why would she stay?' I clenched my sickles. The man glared at me before looking shocked. "Don't tell me....you've formed feelings for the girl?" He lowered his blades before pointing his sword at me. "No matter! Once this is over, you will be a thing of the past, she'll be free from whatever trickery you made her believe! And Y/N will become my fourth wife!"

I growled threateningly, taking a fighting position. "UZUI YOU BASTARD!" We jumped out of the way, something crashing in between us, splitting the building in half, causing a cloud of dust to form. The wind picked up, blowing the dust cloud away to reveal who interfered.

My eyes widened, a scythe being the first thing I see before seeing the user. "Y/N...." I barely whispered out. The sight of her alone made my knees feel weak. She glanced behind, smiling towards me. I took notice of her features, some of them changing. Her eyes, the once white part now black with blue irises. Her toothy grin now showing off a pair of fangs.

"Are you....?" She nodded "I'm staying with you and Daki." She placed her hand over her chest "Though the human side of me is screaming..." she smiled brightly "it doesn't stop me from wanting to be with you. I want to remain a demon with you!"

"How unfortunate...." The hashira was behind her, the look in his eyes 'he's going to kill her!' Daki's scream also grabbed my attention. Seeing that her head was now cut off. 'Shit!' The sound of blades meeting could be heard "go help Daki!" I didn't hesitate going after the strange pig man.

*Y/N POV*
I was pushed back slightly, glaring at Uzui as he stares at me in disbelief before jumping back. I spun my scythe around, having it land behind me while keeping a tight grip, ready to fight.

Uzui's gaze softened "please Y/N, tell me you're under some kind of curse" I breath in slowly, not sure how to sugar coat my next sentence. I stare at him, giving him a toothy smile "sorry Uzui" saying his name with venom "but I'm not going back to the corp"

He closed his eyes, shaking his head sadly. "How unfortunate..." he stared at me, hatred in his eyes. It stung, even though he was annoying, I still considered him a friend. He positioned himself, swords held high "we should've ended you a long time ago."

I growled, attacking him first. Though my weapon was much larger than most, it was light as I swung it around. He dodged my attack, smiling sadly. "I see Rengoku taught you how to be flashy! A skill I can admire!" I growled, getting annoyed. As he was stepping backwards, I disappeared, confusion crossed his face before realization.

He blocked my attack from behind, using the chain he swung his blade, striking me. I groan out in pain, not expecting the nichirin blade leaving a burning sensation. "You bastard...." I grabbed his sword, yanking it out of my hip. He yanked the blade towards him, now holding one in each hand.

I collapsed, putting pressure on the wound. "Why am I not healing?!" Asking myself, confusion could be heard in my voice. "Because you're weak." I growl quietly, not wanting to listen. "You became weak when you chose this path." Uzui walked slowly towards me, his grip tightening. I look up into his eyes as he looked down. Sorrow filled his eyes. I knew what was going to happen next. He raised his blades, I could've sworn I saw tears forming.

"Y/N, forgive me. Maybe in the next life, you can live a more flashy life." I closed my eyes, but nothing came. Or so I thought.

I felt my body hit the ground. There was no pain. I opened my eyes slowly, I couldn't hear anything around me but Gyutaro was right there, tears running down his face as he attacked Uzui. He moved quickly and I couldn't keep up. I blinked and Uzui's hand was gone.

Next thing I know, Uzui collapsed. Everything felt like it was moving slowly but every time I blinked, there was a new surrounding.

I closed my eyes, feeling exhausted. "Y/N stay with me!" Gyutaro, I'm sorry. "You can't leave me behind!" I'm so sorry Gyutaro. I didn't mean for this to happen. I wish we could've stayed together just a little bit longer.

"Forgive me....Gyutaro....."

*A/N- sorry this is late. Work is kinda hell right now. I'm hoping to get the next chapter out on time. Speaking of the next chapter, it may or may not be the last. I haven't decided yet. Maybe a prequel in the near future since quite a few of you seemed to enjoy this. Which I truly appreciate!! 🥹
