It's been two days since Zane woke up next to Duncan after the talent thing. He couldn't help but freak out cause he woke up to Duncan playing with his hair and smiling at the tired teen. His face was so many shades of red he could put those colour cards in hardware store's paint sections to shame.

Duncan has been spending those days carving the small skull, not that Zane knows. He's been hiding it better cause Zane almost saw it. The boy sure was curious to know what he was getting.

So since Zane hadn't been glued to Duncan as usual he was getting to know some of the campers. Harold and Zane bonded over Japanese anime, both enjoyed talking about Soul Eater. Both teens were sad the anime isn't as popular as it used to be but still enjoy seeing the rare cosplay of a character online.

Zane also spent some time with Gwen pranking Heather. He put garlic powder in her shampoo and onion salt in her conditioner. She smelled like food so raccoons would constantly follow her, she would run the other way shrieking so often that she lost her voice for a day. Karma is a bitch, especially when you read a girl's diary on international tv.

All the fun aside it was challenge day again. All the contestants were at the campfire area listening to Chris, for the most part. Zane was sitting on the ground next to Courtney who was on a stump and Duncan was standing behind them. Everyone for the most part gasped pulling Zane out of his daze of just staring into the air. "All you have to do is spend one night in the woods. Everything you need is at your team's campsite in the forest. You just have to find it. Oh, and watch out for bears. Lost a couple of interns in pre-production. The first team back for breakfast wins invincibility!" Chris says before blowing an air horn. Zane pulled his shoe off and threw it at the older man. "For the last time stop it with the airhorn!" He yelled. Zane has been so distracted he didn't see the unpleasant interaction between Courtney and Duncan, who were butting heads to be in charge.

Zane looked back while the other team talked about bears to see Duncan reading the map. "So where we headed captain?" He said smirking. "You should call me that more often," Duncan laughed pulling the boy up and then walking to get his shoe. "Yes sir," Zane teased. Duncan rolled his eyes with a flushed face. The sight made Zane giggle. "Aw, is Duncan blushing?" he cooed at the taller boy. "No!" he replied quickly tossing the shoe at him. "Put your damn shoe on and let's go!" he huffed walking off with the team.

Everything was getting set up at the killer bass camp. Dj and Zane went to look for food and they spotted a little grey rabbit. They stopped walking and Zane calmly and slowly sat down with his hand out to the small animal. I slowly hopped closer to him sniffing the air. "It's okay," Dj said calmly to the small creature as it now sniffed Zane's hand.

He slowly and gently scratched between its ears and it got comfortable with the two teens. "So cute," Zane smiled. "Yeah," Dj agreed.

Not being able to find any more food than berries they picked up the new addition to the group and headed back.

Zane laid next to Duncan in the tent, snuggling close by the second as it was growing colder outside. "Cold?" Duncan asked wrapping his arms around the smaller male. Zane nodded in response. " Nothing a little snuggling can't fix," Duncan mumbled into Zane's neck. Bridgette got up and left the tent and seconds later the tent was gone. Courtney started screaming at the girl. "Stop fucking screaming or I'll give you a reason to," Zane growled waving Duncan's hook at the angry teen.

Next thing the team knows it starts to downpour after Courtney said things couldn't get worse. "Great, 'ya jinxed us," Zane huffed curling up under the branch Dj held.

Zane was snuggled into Duncan's side as he felt his hands rubbing his back gently. Zane opened his eyes to find Courtney's sleeping face inches from his. "Mornin'," Duncan whispered not looking too happy about the girl who was on him. "No," Zane said before closing his eyes again. This made Duncan laugh, and made Courtney wake up. "Oh my gosh! Ew! You were cuddling me!" she yelled sitting up. "I was calmly lying on my back and trying to catch a few Zs. You were snuggling up to me," he replied annoyed. "You are such an ogre!" she snapped. "No he's not," Zane said now tracing the skull on Duncan's shirt. This made the delinquent grin. "The only one I cuddled was Zane here," he said patting him on the back.

Soon everyone was back at camp, the bass lost the challenge due to Thing 1 and Thing 2 wanting blueberries and getting lost. Katie got booted and now here Zane and Duncan were looking at Courtney sitting on the steps swatting at flies. "Why doesn't she just go inside?" Duncan asked. Zane shrugged and tugged Duncan's arm back as he started to walk over to her. Duncan looked back confused. "Can we talk?" Zane asked looking at him and motioning behind some trees. Duncan nodded and they walked over.

"So?" Duncan asked nervously. "I had an idea, about how to get us farther in the game," Zane mumbled looking at the ground. "Oh?" Duncan asked, "What might your plan be?"

Zane whispered his plan to the taller boy and they both agreed to do it. It will take time and sacrifices but it'll be worth it.

After Duncan's teasing of Courtney, and everyone doing a fear confession at the firepit, he came into the cabin and got ready for bed. "So?" Zane asked. "Plans in motion," Duncan smirked. Both smiled and snuggled up together to sleep as it was still kinda cold, at least that was their excuse when Geoff and Dj started poking fun at how they share a bed every night now.

(Zane's about to start some drama soon and I can't wait for the chaos. Anyways take some time for self-care, my friends.)
