I drove to the school, got out and walked behind it. I looked to see all of the boys sitting. I didn't want to make it obvious I was watching so I hid behind a tree. I watched how Eddie was teaching the two freshman boys what exactly certain things mean. I accidentally stepped on a branch which made me fall backwards. All of the boys watch as I run out of the woods and they all chase me. I got in my mom's car, which wouldn't start. I crouch down in the seat hoping they won't notice. I watch everyone go back into the woods, but not Eddie. I thought he followed but he must not have. I sit up and try to get the car to start when Eddie knocks on my window. I scream and hold my chest before I put my window down. "Jesus Christ Eddie, you didn't need to make me nearly piss myself."

He laughs, "I could say the same for you. What're you doing stalking me?"
I panic before blurting out, "I was looking for you... So I called your house and your uncle said you'd be here."

He laughs, "Well, you know how to find someone. Come sit with us."

I shook my head, "I can't, I uhm, I need to talk to only you."

He reaches in the window, unlocks the doors and helps me out. "Come on," He said.

I sigh, smile then follow. I drag my feet following, just to see only Dustin and Mike sitting on the ground, "Where's the other two," Eddie asked.

"They left, they said they'll be there later, but they needed to go home for a little while,"Mike said.

Eddie looked at me, "Sit Maddy, what's going on?"

I looked at the ground, "Ever since I was little, I had a mark on my arm that I didn't know why I had. You can't freak out, please."

I lift my sleeve and show everyone. I look to see Dustin and Mike looking at each other wide eyed. Eddie thought it was cool and grabbed my arm looking at it. I kept looking at Mike and Dustin though. "What's wrong with you two?" I asked.

Dustin looked at me, "Do you remember anything?"

I shake my head, "No, I don't. Actually, my mom said I have 'powers' or some shit."

Dustin and Mike look at each other, "Can we go to my place?"

I looked at Eddie, "What about our campaign?" Eddie asked.

Mike shook his head, "No time, Can we go?"

I looked at Eddie again, "Well you guys can, I have to meet up with someone. I'll see you guys later I guess," He said looking annoyed.

I run the boys and I out to my car and it finally turns on. We went to Mike's house. "Who is this Mike?" His mom asked.

"Hi," I said, "I'm Maddyson. I go to school with Mike."

She and I shook hands and Mike grabbed mine before she could say anything. We all ran downstairs and sat on his couch. "Now, I would've loved to meet your mom!" I shouted.

"Later, we need to talk to El," Mike said.

I was so confused who El was, but I didn't care. I just wanted to know what they were thinking. Mike rings El, "Hey Will, Can I talk to El. Okay, thanks," Mike said speaking into the phone. "Hey El, we need to t- Yes i know what ti- I'm sorry El- This is important. I'll see you soon, bye."

I looked at Mike, "So?"

He shrugged, "I'm not sure what was wrong with her, but I'll see her soon anyways," I saw Mike's face light up, "Come with me, to see El. El will help with your number situation."

I laughed, "First, Where are we going? Second, I have no money to go."

He looked at me, "I'll ask my mom to buy you a ticket. I'll convince her to. Please say yes. Spring break, it's a week, that's it."

I shrugged and nodded. Mike runs upstairs and asks his mom to pay. She said no at first and he explained that me and El 'used to be friends' so we should see each other. She said yes out of sympathy. "You got your ticket Mads."

I grinned at those words, hoping I'll figure out what's going on. I remember Eddie and remember how I wanted to spend spring break with him. "What about Eddie?" I ask.

"What about Eddie? You can go say bye to him tonight," Dustin says.

I sigh, "I'm leaving. I'm going to tell Eddie bye."

I walk out and jump into my car. I drive to Eddie's house and knock on his door, "Eddie, hello?"

I see the door open and see Eddie's face, "Maddy, what are you doing here?" He asked.

"I'm going to come in," I say squeezing past him.

I sit and explain everything to him and how this El girl is supposed to know what to do. He hugged me, "I hope this isn't bad news."

"Me either Ed. Let's just pray that this El knows what she's talking about," I said not letting go.

We finally let go, we stared at each other for a few moments before he leaned in to kiss me. "Eddie, what are you doing?" I asked.

"You're leaving, and I don't know how safe this is. Anything can happen Mads, especially when it deals with real government shit," He says holding my hand.

"Eddie, you're making it sound worse than it is. My mom was high out of her mind when she was talking to me. My dads probably just some crack dealer who had his friends tattoo me as a baby," I said laughing.

"Still," He sighed, "Just in case."

I smiled and kissed his cheek, "I need to go, okay. I have a flight to catch in the morning."

He smiled back, "I-" And for a moment I was hoping he would tell me he loved me, "I hope you are able to trust her."

I nod and hug him, "I'll stop in the morning if I can."

I drive home, change and pack. I hoped to god I could find out what was wrong with my life, how did this happen. I finally had a bit of hope.
