I looked up at the lit ceiling, before I walked downstairs. I see Jonthan and Will talking, before I enter the bathroom. I pee and try to call Eddie, which he doesn't pick up. I got confused since he doesn't do anything. I just assumed he was playing dnd with his friends or something. I walk to the fridge, "You're not even going to ask to go in our fridge?" Will commented.

"I'm a guest Will, I should be welcome to your fridge. Anyways, I'm used to ramen and shit so," I said, shutting the fridge and grabbing water.

Jonathan looked at me, "Where did you even sleep?"

I laughed, "Hallway floor, where else would I sleep? With your mom?"

I ran to the phone again, trying to call Eddie again, getting no answer. I run upstairs to see Mike talking to El, so I just go back down, forgetting what I saw. I sit on the couch, "Will, do you know Eddie?" I asked.

He shook his head, "Eddie who?"

I looked back over the couch, "Eddie Munson. He's friends with Mike and them. I don't know what he could be doing, why he's not answering me."

Will shrugged so I looked at Jonathan, "You used to go to school there, do you know him?"
He shrugged before I shook my head and drank my water. Jonathan came over to me, "You should call your parents shouldn't you? Tell them you're alright."
I laughed a little, "Yeah, my mom is probably busy shooting her veins or smoking something in her bedroom. She won't even pay attention to me being gone."

He shrugged, "Well you never know."

I nodded, knowing that he wouldn't understand what I meant. I kept holding out hope that El would, but she never did, not in the same way. I hear a knocking at the door before Will looks at Jonathan, "Ten bucks mom forgot something."

Jonathan laughed before standing up and saying, "Yeah, I'm not taking that bet."

I laugh as Jonathan opens the door. I looked over to see the cops, hoping it wasn't my mom who called them. "Hi, does Jane Hopper live here?" The man asked.

Jonathan nodded, "Uh, yeah. Uhm, what is this about?"

The man sneaks his head in the doorway a bit, "Is Jane's father or mother around?"

"Uh, no. No, her moms out of town. I'm her brother. Uhm, stepbrother. But, uh," I see El walking down the steps, "I'm sorry, what... uh, what is this about?"

"You may or may not be aware of an incident involving Jane at the Rink-O-Mania."

Will chimes in, "That was an accident."

The other officer replies, "We have a warrant here that says otherwise."

Jonathan laughs, "A warrant? Come on, that's crazy. That doesn't need to happen."

El becomes Visible to the cops, "Hey there, you Jane Hopper?"

The look on her face was horrifying. The cops pushed past Jonathan as they cuffed her wrists. I started to flip out. Growing up with a drug addict mom, I have seen her get cuffed a lot, but the difference is, I had hoped that El could help me. My mother had no help to give me, but El, Jane, did. I felt like I watched my own sense of... sense, walk out that door. Mike went up to the door saying that he would help her, "Eleven, will you look at me? Everythings gonna be fine. I am going to fix this. Okay? Just... Just stay calm and everythngs gonna be fine. Okay? Just.. All you have to do is trust me. I promise. I'm gonna get you out of this I promise!"

I watched the car drive away as, for the first time in years, I genuinely felt absolutely helpless and hopeless. I didn't know what to do but cried a little bit. Will rubbed his hand across my back trying to comfort me, but Will isn't Eddie. I needed Eddie.
