A few days later, we arrived in Hawkins. I hop out of the van. I hadn't gone back into my mind, or talked to anyone in hopes that they brought Eddie up. I got out and saw Dustin. I hugged him, "He's gone isn't he," I cried into his shoulder.

"What?" Dustin asked.

I looked at him confused, "I saw him, my mind. He was dead."

He shook his head, "He's in the hospital with Max. He is doing fine. Your visit to the bad man actually saved him!"

I looked, "Wha- how?"

He smiled, "They made the murder bullshit go away."

I smiled and hugged him again. We all caught up for a while. "So Maddy, you're like El?" Nancy asked.

I nodded, "More or less."

Everyone was asking for me to show them. I lifted a small box off the floor. They all had their woes and claps. I laughed audibly. "Can we go to the hospital?" I asked.

"Uhm, yeah," Jonathan said. We took the van and went to the hospital. The first look I took at Eddie I started to cry. I ran over to his sleeping body and laid on the sliver of bed he had extra next to him. I start to comb his hair off his face and cry watching how handsome he looked. I see his eyes open slowly. "Mads?" He asked.

I cried, "I told you I'd be back."

He hugged me, "You're still wearing my shirt?"

I nodded, "I think you mean our shirt."

He laughed and all I could do was kiss him. "Munson, I can't even express how happy I am that you're safe."

He smiled, "You don't understand how happy I am that you're home."

I kissed him one more time before Mike comes in to see him. "Ed! I thought we lost you!"

He laughs, "How did you guys know what happened?"

Mike looked at me, "Your girlfriends a wizard man."

I laughed, "Wizard? No, I'm definitely magic though."

Eddie laughed, "Show me!"

I grabbed a foam cup and put my hand out to lift it. His eyes grew wide, "That was a prank right?"

I shook my head, "No. I got them from my dad."

He laughed, "Not bad."

We spent time in the hospital with Max and Eddie, before I had someone drive me home. I walked inside the house to smell a shit smell. It was worse than usual. I walked into my mom's room yelling for her and saw her dead. I cried and called 911. "I just came home and she was dead."

One of the officers handed me a suicide note that read, "Maddyson, my sweet angel. I promised that if you ever found out, I would let go. I couldn't do it anymore. I hope you find your father, you can be reminded that you are better than the monster he became. Maddy, Remember, 5 for lunch everyday. I hope you had a terrific spring break wherever you went, and I hope you remember that I do love you, I will angel. -Love your mother."

I cried so hard. I hated things my mother did, but I didn't want her dead. I called Mike, "I can't be alone right now."

His voice filled with confusion, "What's wrong?"

"My mom, I came home. She was dead in her room. Will you have someone drive me to the hospital?"

He said, "Yes Maddy!"

And in a matter of 5 minutes I was at the hospital. I walked to Eddie's room and sat, waiting for him to wake. "Hi angel," He said.

I started to break down, "Maddy what's wrong."

I explained everything that happened, what I saw, and heard. What was really going on. "My mom, she was dead when I got home," I finished with.

"Maddy, come here," He said.

I walked over to him and sat. He rubbed his hand on my back while I laid next to him, "I should be comforting you Eddie," I said.

"No, no. No matter what, we comfort each other," He said, kissing my head.

"No hair," I said.

He looked at me funny, then realized I had none, "Oh my god, Maddy you have no hair."

We both share a good laugh at him not noticing.

"I'm expecting a date when you get out of here Munson," I said.

He softly kissed my lips, "Be ready."

I smiled and kissed him back.
