Aubrey and Sunny were catching up at the park on the swings. It's been a while since they've hung around in the park. Aubrey scrolls through her phone as she talks with Sunny. There's a
sudden silence during their talk.
Suddenly, a loud squeak was heard as Sunny threw himself up on the swing. Aubrey flinched. She was getting a little tired of that noise.
"Sunny, could you try not making that noise on the swing happen?"
Sunny nodded. He still seemed dissatisfied with the result of what happened. He continued attempting to go higher and higher. Aubrey was still scrolling until another squeak was heard. Sunny was almost reaching the highest of heights, nearly reaching over the swings limit to swing.
He seemed like he was gonna break the swing.
Aubrey stared at him in surprise. "I thought he was afraid of heights." She thought. "When did he get over that?"
Sunny stared into space in silence. Aubrey began to speak up.
"What are you trying to do exactly?"
"...I got over my fear."
"I can see that, but why are you.. trying to break the swing, exactly?"
Sunny thought about his answer until he responded, "I feel like I'm conquering more than a fear way more doing this. I'm conquering a goal."
"A goal...?"
"I've... always wanted to do a full 360 swing on a swing. I've never done it since I could never get the courage to." Sunny looked down, embarrassed to admit it.
Aubrey looked at him slightly confused. I guess that was never really brought up. "That seems kinda.. risky."
"...I'll help you."
Sunny was surprised. He didn't know Aubrey would actually.. help him.
Sunny set himself up as Aubrey stood up from her side of the swing and walked behind him. He arched his back and went on his tippy toes, holding on tight to the swing's chains. She backed up and lifted her arms inward, ready to push. She then rushed ahead, and as soon as she got close, shoved him harshly before proceeding to back away. The swing immediately went up high.
High enough to make him swing around a full 360 as the impact made him do an extra swing that still had force from Aubrey's push into it. Aubrey, shocked from the amount of impact, rushed back over to Sunny.
"Are you ok?"
Sunny still managed to keep a stonecold face, looking down. Aubrey looked a little concerned. Maybe that was a bit of a harsh push.
"We don't have to be on the swings anymore. I think I overdid that one, I'm sorry."
"No."
"Huh?"
"Don't be." Sunny replied calmly. Once looking up at Aubrey, he couldn't hide the smile out of getting the satisfaction of doing a full 360 on a swing. "That was awesome."
"Eh? Really?" She looked surprised at him. He nodded happily as he got up normally, before the impact set it and he nearly stumbled. Aubrey, luckily, was nearby to grab him before he could fall over.
"Yep. Definitely overdid that."
"That.. wasn't that bad.." He said in a daze.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. Let's just get you sitting down at a bench now."
