To The Store! (Sunny x reader)

 Sunny strayed away from you usually whenever you were with friends. You didn't mind this, but since you two were dating, it was always sort of off putting. You thought he'd stick to you at least a little, but he's listening to Kel ramble on about the basketball games he's had. You sorta wanted some sort of affection. Were you disappointed he wasn't at least holding your hand? Yes. Are you possibly affection starved? Probably. You simply sat around and talked with Aubrey and Basil while this was happening.

 "So anyways, that's what happened to Kimberly. That's why I had to hang around the hooligans a little longer than usual. I'm sorry I couldn't help you carrying your new plants inside earlier." Aubrey said, bowing her head slightly in apology. You tuned out some of what she said, but she did sound ashamed of herself.

 "It's fine!" Basil brushed it off. "It was nice of you to help me later on, and even the hooligans. I.. didn't expect them to do that."

 "Their hearts are in the right place, Basil, I assure you of that." Aubrey nodded while stating that. Basil smiled shyly as he then turned over to you. "So, Y/N, uhm, how's you and Sunny?" Aubrey turned to look at you also for an answer.

 "Well, it's been going good. He's really attentive and sweet." Aubrey turns to look at Sunny, who was off talking with Kel and Hero. "He doesn't seem to be attentive currently." She tilted her head back at you.

 "Maybe he's just trying to catch up Aubrey!" Basil said. "He hasn't spoken to Kel in ages, and we all need some time to talk to each other, y'know?"

 Aubrey paused. "Hm, maybe you're right." She still didn't look sure. You were glad Aubrey cared, but you'd prefer giving him his own space.

 After talking a little more, Kel slides into the conversation with a cheery grin. "Hey guys!" He waved.

 "Oh, Kel! Hello!" Basil waved. Aubrey didn't quite wave back. "What is it Kel?"

 "Relax AUBREY." Kel gave her a stern look before having a more relaxed one. "I just wanted to ask if you guys wanted to head out near Hobbeez! Me and Sunny were gonna go there right now!"

 "What about Hero?" You asked.

 "Hero's gonna drive us." He explained. "He's gotta get packing up back to College soon though."

 "Aw." You were disappointed. You wanted to talk with Hero a little bit more since you were mainly with Aubrey and Basil but he's gotta get his business done. You and almost everyone else hopped into the car. You sat in between Sunny and Basil, and Kel called shotgun, while Aubrey decided to bike it and meet everyone else there since Kim called her and asked her to come over for a favor.

 While Hero drove, Basil, Kel and him talked. You and Sunny just stayed quiet. Somewhere through the drive, you felt a hand softly be placed on yours. Looking up, it appeared to be Sunny, staring right at you.

 "Sorry for ditching you for a little while." Sunny nervously whispered, attaching his hand onto yours even more. "I usually get caught up in my own head." "It's ok-.. Your own head?" You whispered and turned to look at him confused.

 "Uh. Yeah. I might zone out a bit." Sunny shrugged. "Oh uh.. it's fine, Sunshine." You whispered back, looked at the ground with a smile. Sunnys ears seemingly peaked at "Sunshine". You loved calling him sweet little things, he always seemed to love them.

 "I wouldn't zone out that much, trust me on that." Sunny pointed at himself, and narrowed his eyes over to the window, seemingly trying to hide the fact that he would.

 After a bit of silence, Sunny slid his hand over to your other shoulder and pulled you close. He hesitated, considering there were other people around, but Basil only simply gave a glance and smiled, before turning back to talk to Kel and Hero. Traffic was a little tense this evening, so it kept all three of them busy on something for you and Sunny to have this short moment. Sunny moved in to give you one small-

"Are we gonna pretend nothing's going on?" Kel asks. That broke the somewhat silence in the car.

"KEL!" Hero says out of shock. "Let them have their moment!"

 Kel looked at Hero to see him sigh. "What?!" He asks. Sunny just stared into a void, taking his arm off of you in embarrassment as you were a little red.

"Oh! Speaking of moments, Kel, I gotta ask", Basil continues, "What was that little scene between you and Cris on Wednesday?"

 Kel immediately looked shocked. "BASIL! HOW'D YOU EVEN SEE THAT?"

 "Kim told Aubrey and Aubrey told me." Basil gave a smile. Hero just turned over to Kel while stopped at the light near Hobbeez.

 "So. Who's Cris again?"

 "DON'T. EVEN."

 Once everybody got out of the car, Hobbeez was gleaming as everyone met back up with Aubrey, who said that Kim had a flat tire on her bike from a nail, so she had to do her own part of taxi. Hero said he'd just go get some gas for the car and come back.

 Everyone went in, as Hobbeez was booming with comics, movies, and games for everybody to enjoy... and also buy. You decided to have a talk with Basil for a bit, since he was holding one of your (sort of) favorite comics "Captain Space Boy"!... And it's cheesy as you remember it. After a while, you decided to move outside for some fresh air.

 "Dang, this is one pretty view!" You gasped, staring up at the orange horizon that was falling down.

 "Mhm! I like looking at the sky at this time." Basil smiled and looked along with you. He stayed silent for a little bit, before having a small idea.

 "Hey, how about I get Sunny out here? I bet he'd love to watch this, especially with you!" Basil winked. You rolled your eyes. "That'd be nice, Basil."

 "Great, I'll just-"

 "LADIES, ladies!" Someone spoke out of nowhere. "There's plenty of me to go around!" It was Maverick. Oh, sorry. THE Maverick.

 Basil looked nervous, looking back at you. You didn't quite know this guy much, but you sure as hell could tell something was up here. The Maverick turned to face you and Basil as he approached with two girls by his side.

"Good evening!" The Maverick smiled. "I suppose that's a friend of yours?"

"Uhm, yes." You said with a nervous smile. You had no idea what to expect from this guy. You haven't even talked to him before.

"I'm assuming you're here to enjoy the lovely sunset too?" The Maverick approached closer. You nodded. "Well, how about we enjoy it together?" He offered, the two girls standing back as he flipped his hair from his eyes. "There's enough space for us to sit beside each other, you know?" The Maverick winked at you. The other girls were practically swooning over his cheesiness. "Oh, The Maverick! So charming!" They'd say.

Basil, surprisingly was the one to say something. "Excuse me, sorry." He said with a friendly tone. "My friend here and I have to get back inside with our other friends! Now if you don't mind-"
"Now now, there, chap." The Maverick patted Basil on the head. "The maiden should speak for herself." He practically shoved Basil to the side to look at you. You raised your eyebrow at The Maverick as you could still see a concerned Basil at the corner of your eye.

"Uh, yeah, I better go back in. Can't leave the others waiting." You said, backing away. "Are you sure to leave so soon?" He said, his eyes attempting to glimmer in the sunset. "I wouldn't mind it if you stayed. It might be better than that comic store that always smells like rotten eggs."

"No, no." You said, you were getting a little more uncomfortable. "I'll be going with my friend to our other friends, and my-"The door to Hobbeez opened.

It was Sunny. He was sipping on a soda.

"OH!" Basil whipped around. "Hey Sunny!" Sunny simply glanced at him. He nodded, stepping back from the situation.

"Hey, Maverick." Sunny stared at him. "It's THE Maverick!" Mav- THE Maverick said. He put his hands on his hips and glared at Sunny. "What're you doing here anyways?"

"I'm here with my friends." Sunny walked over to you, then wrapped his arm around your shoulder. "AND my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend? You actually got a GIRLFRIEND?" The Maverick cannot believe this man. The audacity of getting a girlfriend. Sunny's eyes narrowed more by the second.

"But my apologies. I'll leave you two be."

 The Maverick... just apologized? AND LEFT WITH THE GIRLS HE WAS WITH WITHOUT CAUSING MORE OF A SCENE..?... WHAT??

  You and Sunny just stared at each other. That.. actually happened? You could see Basil go back in from the corner of your eye, waving from the window and leaving you two be as well. Sunny sipped on his soda, keeping his arm wrapped around you and keeping you close. Well, that was.. something. As soon as the pot almost stirred, it was over.

 You could see Basil tell the others what happened outside, Kel groaned at the fact that The Maverick was nearby, doing his Maverick stuff. Kel was supposed to be The Maverick's enemy, but to Kel, The Maverick is like a nightmare.

 You both sat down and you just laid on Sunny's shoulder, wrapping your arm around his waist. This was.. nice. It was a pretty horizon. Sunny just stared at the sunset, and then back at you. It was dead quiet. The breeze was sorta comforting. It only made you cold and wanting a jacket.

 You looked at Sunny and smiled, then looking back at the setting sun. You didn't look at it long, though, as you felt a hand gently grasp your chin, and turn it back over to Sunny. You two looked at each other for second, before Sunny pulled you in immediately for a kiss. The two of you stayed in that position for a few seconds, before you two pull away for some air. You couldn't hide your smile. It was a sweet feeling. You nearly giggled like a little toddler over it as he just admired your reaction. He chuckled at it, even.

"So, what took so long for that?" You asked, putting your hands on your hips, and staring dead at him.

"I got nervous, alright?" Sunny scratched the back of his head. "I don't do too good in public. Plus, there's those people that stare at a couple and not look away when they show public affection... it feels weird."

You nodded. "Understandable."

 "You guys!" You two turned to see Hero, who managed to go unnoticed this whole time, calling out to you from the doorway. "We're gonna get going soon!" Sunny nods as you yell back "Alright!"

 Sunny wraps his hand around your waist as you two began to trot back over to Hobbeez.
