"Well... the party went pretty good." Catra thought to herself resting her elbows on the balcony railing in the hallway and looking up at the night sky in her PJs. The party had already ended and everyone went home. Well not everyone. To Catra's surprise, the princesses asked to spend a couple of days at Halfmoon so they could see the city and get to know them better.

Catra thinks that her parents, Jasmine, and maybe Glimmer and Bow were behind the idea but she didn't hold on to the thought too long and started to think about how the party went with the princesses. And Catra had to admit, she didn't expect the princesses to treat her nicely. Even when her parents stepped away they didn't get angry or disinterested in the conversation, they generally looked like they were having fun.

Catra was glad that everything went well. She looked up at the night sky. A light breeze started to blow and Catra closed her eyes and enjoyed the peace. Then Catra heard familiar footsteps behind her and she felt a chill go down her spine. Catra chuckled. "I know you're there, I could hear your footsteps and I can feel your eyes on me."

"How'd you know I was here?" Catra smiled slightly and turned around to look at Adora. "I'd know your heavy feet anywhere." Adora fidgeted a bit. "I thought I was being sneaky," Adora said feeling embarrassed. "You can't sneak up on someone who has good hearing." Catra flicked her ear, chuckled, and turned back around and looked at the sky. Adora just stood there in silence staring at Catra not knowing what to say or do next.

"Are you just going to keep standing there staring at me or are you going to join me?" Catra said stepping a bit to her right, leaving a space open for Adora. Adora stood there stunned for a second, then she quickly filled the space. Adora leaned her elbows against the railing, and she looked at Catra. She was looking up at the sky while a light breeze made her hair flow.

"She's more beautiful than I remembered." Adora thought to herself staring lovingly at Catra. Then Catra looked over at Adora and Adora tore her eyes away from Catra, embarrassed that she was caught staring. "Come on Adora, stop being weird! Just... think of a conversation starter, think, think, THINK!"

"Did you enjoy the party?" Adora was sent back to reality and looked at Catra and Catra was looking back at her with an amused smirk. "Wha, oh um, yes! The party was amazing. I especially liked when you and Jasmine did that firework show." Adora said secretly thanking Catra for ending the awkward silence. "Thanks, Jasmine and I spent hours on how we would make our entrance. At one point we thought about walking to the center of the room with white flammable cloaks and then setting them on fire to reveal ourselves. But we opted not to do that considering we might set someone's hair or clothes on fire."

Adora wondered what that entrance would've looked like. "Oh that sounds awesome, I definitely would've liked to see that." Adora stepped a bit closer to Catra. "Were there any more entrance ideas you or Jasmine thought of?"

The two continue to talk about random subjects, embarrassing moments, and funny moments, and just enjoyed talking to each other, but they knew that the question would come up eventually. Then they settled into a comfortable silence.

"Catra."

"Hm"

"Why did you leave?"

And there it was, the question that Catra had been avoiding, the question that Adora did and didn't wanna hear the answer to. Why did she leave? Catra fidgeted slightly and looked away from Adora, her ears drooped, and tears started to form in her eyes all the while Adora was still staring at her. "Catra, please I just, I just need to know." Adora reached out her hand to place it on Catra's, but she hesitated not knowing if her actions would be appreciated.

Then she felt Catra's tale touching the back of her leg. Catra faced forward and took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "It's okay, take your time," Adora said placing her hand on top of Catra's.

"Okay... I left because all I did while I was in the horde was cause you and the other princesses nothing but pain, anger, and grief. All the attacks, the killer robots, kidnapping Glimmer, and Bow, almost destroying our universe, lashing out at Scorpia, sending Entrapta to Beast island, taking over Mermista's kingdom, and taking Primes side when he took Glimmer hostage. I knew that what I was doing was wrong but I was so blinded I my hate and resentment that I just didn't care." Tears started falling down Catra's face.

Adora gently squeezed Catra's hand. Catra wiped away her tears and continued. "Then once we were on the ship Glimmer and I started talking more and we realize that we enjoyed our conversations. Then Glimmer and I realized that you and the others were most likely coming up with a plan to get her off the ship. But we knew that prime couldn't get you or else he would win. So we came up with a plan. I would shut off the power source to his ship and while they were distracted with me Glimmer would find a ship and she would fly back to Etheria. And you know the rest we started fighting Prime, you got rid of him with your She-Ra powers, we started to fall, then I woke up on the edge of the Whispering Woods. I was a bit disoriented but other than that I was fine. Then I... I heard you call out my name. I wanted to call out, I wanted to tell you that I was okay. But after all the horrible stuff I did, I figured that none of you want anything to do with me. So I left. Then a few weeks later I found Half Moon, found out that I was a princess and I've been hiding here ever since."

Catra closed her eyes and let out a huff. She faced Adora and before Catra could say anything else Adora hugged her. "Catra ever since I lost you two years ago I've done nothing but wish you were with me, during the war I wished that you would join the rebellion with me so then we could be together again, that day you left I felt as if I lost a part of me that I couldn't live without, and every night I would dream of you, and every time I woke up from my dreams I wish you were there with me so that I could say that I..."

Adora pulled away slightly placing her hands on Catra's hips and looking into her eyes. "Catra I love you." Catra smiled and put her arms around Adora's neck and started to purr. "I love you too Adora."

"Really?!"

"Yes really Adora, I always have."

So Adora and Catra shared kissed under the starry night sky.
