"Does she have to come?" Jake pleaded with Mum.

"Yes, now go" she said, shooing us out of the house and towards the car.

"I hate you" he mumbled under his breath as he climbed into his Jeep.

"I love you too bro" I smirked at him and clambered into the back seat.

"Yeah, we love you Jakey" his best friend Abe cooed at him as he took the passenger seat. "Now let's go party!"

We were back at the beach house - it was my Mum's house in Boca, Florida.

Jake continued to scowl as he turned the stereo up and Tupac began blasting.

"This is our summer too, I don't get why I have to bring my baby sister everywhere" Jake moaned on.

"Jake, I'm literally 18" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Still not old enough to drink and party" he pointed out.

"Neither are you!" I retorted, he and Abe were only 20.

Jake opened his mouth to speak but couldn't think of a good enough comeback. I smiled triumphantly.

We pulled up at the party 10 minutes later. It was at Stacey Turner's house, who Jake dated every summer and broke up with before we returned to our Dad's in LA for school.

"Heeeeey" Stacey greeted us at the door and threw herself at Jake, kissing him passionately.

"Ew" I groaned and pushed past them, prompting Abe to laugh. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him in behind me.

"Drink?" He asked, eyeing up the kitchen. I nodded and he disappeared off to get refreshments.

I twiddled my thumbs for a few moments before looking around the room to see if I knew anyone.

To my left I spotted Leo James, we used to hang with him until he and Jake got into a full on fist fight over Stacey. On my right was Sammy, Stacey's younger sister. She caught my eye and came over.

"God, do our siblings ever stop making out?" She pretended to wretch.

"Tell me about it"

"How have you been Mic?" She asked.

"I've been okay. You?"

"Good actually. Did you get into the college you wanted?"

I nodded. "NYU. What about you?"

"UCLA on a volleyball scholarship" she smiled from ear to ear.

"Congrats!" I pulled her into a hug and she squeezed me back hard.

"Why are we hugging?" Abe returned as well pulled apart.

"Sammy got into UCLA" I filled him in.

"No way, well done Samster!" He gave her a hug too. I watched her cheeks flush. Abe did that to people. It was the bronde curls, green eyes and dimples, sometimes I wondered how I could be around him so often without swooning. Oh yeah, because he's told me I'm like his sister at least a million times.

"Thanks Abe, hopefully I'll see you around campus " she bit her lip and hurried off. I watched her glance at Abe all night and sometimes he glanced back.

"Do you like her?" I asked.

"Who Sammy? Nah"

"Then stop looking at her"

"She's looking at me!" He defended.

"Well look at someone else then!" I suggested.

"Okay fine, I'll look at you" he widened his eyes and stared into mine goofily. "Is that better?"

"Stop!" I laughed and swatted at his arm. "You're weirding me out".

"Then let me look wherever I like" Abe pointed out.

"Fine" I rolled my eyes at him.

"I'm gonna go catch up with some guys over there, do you think you'll be ok on your own?" He asked.

"I'm sure I'll survive" I replied and he responded by kissing me on the head.

Alone, I went for a wander round the house, settling outside by the pool.

"We need one more player!" A muscular blonde boy shouted out from the pool. He clocked me. "Hey you! Do you wanna play?" He asked loudly.

"What are you playing?" I asked shyly.

"Volleyball" he held the ball out in my direction.

"Mmm, okay" I replied and thanked the gods mentally that I wore my bikini under my slip dress.

I undressed carefully and walked towards the pool. I glanced at the house quickly and locked eyes with Abe. He raised an eyebrow at me but I ignored him and got in the pool.

After a few games, I got tired and headed back into the house in search of a towel.

As I passed through the kitchen, I felt a tug on my back and the familiar feeling of my bikini top untying.

I grabbed the cups and pressed it tight to my chest as a spun round.

"What the hell?" I snapped, finding blonde volleyball boy behind me, laughing. "This isnt funny!"

Before he could respond, Abe had his hand on his throat.

"It was a joke" he croaked as Abe shoved him backwards.

"Stay away from her" he spat, before turning to me and taking off his T-shirt and unceremoniously forcing it over my head.

When I was covered up he dragged me into one of the upstairs bedrooms.

"You alright?" He asked.

I nodded. "That guy is such a dick".

"Stephen is known for it, I tried to warn you"

"How?" I asked confused.

"I gave you a look"

"A look?" I guffawed.

"Yeah like this" he demonstrated the face he pulled at me earlier.

"Yeah, I don't get it. Thanks for coming to my rescue anyway."

"No worries, you're like my sister".

With the vibe well and truly ruined, we made our way back to the car.

"So double date tomorrow?" Jake seemed excited as we headed home.

"Sisters too...isn't that a bit weird?" Abe replied

"Nah man, it's hot" Jake laughed.

"Are you talking about Sammy and Stacey?" I asked politely.

"Yup" Jake answered and then they started discussing which sister was better looking.

"It's definitely Sammy" Abe tried to convince Jake.

"That's what you think, you were practically drooling all over her".

"Oh shut up, you keep going back to Stacey, every summer because no one better looking is interested in you" he jested.

"Now that's just rude".
