"Nao...mi Fujiwa...ra." I immediately closed my notebook and glared at the person standing beside me.

"Suguru!" I said almost yelling. Suguru looked at me in confusion as he placed his hands inside his pocket.

"You looked like you've seen a ghost, Satoru. Who's Naomi Fujiwara?" With knitted brows, Suguru asked. This guy, he really loves to pick on me.

"Fujiwara? The clan renowned for their mastery in two distinct arts? Puppet manipulation and serving as vessels for cursed spirits." Shoko then butted in.

Suguru then looked at Shoko with a confused expression plastered on his face, "They really do exist? I thought they're a nonexistent clan anymore. I haven't encountered a member of that clan."

"Me neither. I've heard that only the famous clans had the chance to interact with them. They rarely make contact with people outside their clan."

Suguru then turned to me with curious eyes. "So you've met them?"

"Just a few times. I've met some of them during important meetings." I diverted my gaze from them, preventing myself to talk more about Naomi and his family.

Yet, Shoko might've noticed something. "Eh? Why are you blushing then? You've got a crush on the girl?" She snickered, earning me a sly grin from Suguru as well.

I started attending Tokyo Jujutsu High for a couple of months now. Here, I met Shoko and Suguru. Shoko was somehow very laid-back and nonchalant but there are also some times that she's cheerful and determined.

Then there was Suguru. He was mischievous and fun, always up for some adventure. He made school less boring for me. But underneath that, he had a wise side, surprising us with his insights about life.

"Makes sense. He scribbled her name more than ten times." He laughed at loud.

I glared at the two of them and was ready to throw fists with Suguru when Shoko spoke again. "That name does ring a bell. I felt like I've heard the principal of Kyoto High mentioning her name when he visited earlier."

"Right! The Lady of the Night!" Shoko then exclaimed which made me turn my gaze to her.

"Eh, what does that even mean?" Suguru scoffed. He doesn't seem to have any idea who Naomi is.

Shoko smacked Suguru which almost made me laugh had I not controlled myself. "You recognize Sukuna right? The King of Curses?" Suguru nodded.

"The one who sealed him off was the Marionette, Akemi Fujiwari. When the latter died, she passed her powers to Naomi Fujiwara, the Lady of the Night." Shoko explained.

Suguru looked lost. "Is that so? What's her cursed technique to be able to seal off someone like that?"

Shoko tiled her head. "It's pretty hard to explain. Her cursed technique is considered to be the most complex amongst all cursed techniques. She can cast the most number of attacks with it, I've heard that it's too complex in terms of its possibilities that it's on the same level, or stronger than limitless and the six eyes."

"Naoki?" To my surprise, it was Naoki who met me at the entrance of the Fujiwara Clan's property. It was very unusual of him to open the gates for me, and it's very unusual of him to not smile.
