"Naomi, wake up."
I woke up in a familiar place, a pair of eyes had been staring at me and helped me stand up. The velvety black skies with a thousand stars welcomed me.
Inari was smiling widely and was leaping as she led me to the pavilion where she brought me last time. Akemi was there, sitting and having a cup of tea.
"How can I talk to the heavenly principles?" I immediately asked.
Akemi chuckled as she placed the cup back on the tea plate before answering. "Calm down, you'll get to talk to them. Rest for a while."
"I need to talk to them now, I have to bring back Satoru and everyone else that he lost during the battle." I insisted.
Inari looked at me with a cunning smile, "Even if it'll cost yours? You know they won't let you get off the hook easily, that's a big request."
I paused for a moment, "It already did cost me my life just by ascending here. I don't have anything to lose anymore."
"My fate was already written the moment I was born. I came to life to shift the third balance, after that, I am of no use." I stated bitterly.
"So are you just going to settle for that? After being used and dehumanized, you'll just accept your fate because it was already written like that?" Akemi stated with anger event on her voice.
I looked down on the ground and bit my lower lip, "There is so much more in that world that is waiting for him. I want him to be free, I want him to be human, to connect with people."
"Was that the sole reason why you ascended? For you to rewrite his fate?" Akemi's voice echoed throughout the place. She seems angry yet she looked so lost.
"N-No, I want to alter the fate of others too. Suguru Geto, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, the others fought to their death. I want to give them the life that they deserve. Is it possible? Can I bring them back? Can I heal Megumi?" I fell on my knees and pleaded, surprising both Inari and Akemi.
Inari was about to speak when the night suddenly shifted to day. She smiled at me before saying, "The night has been lifted, the heavenly principles are ready to listen to your pleas, Naomi."
In an instance, the scene shifted. They were now inside a much bigger pavilion. We are in a floating island, surrounded by an endless expanse of glittering stars and cosmic nebulae.
The pavilion was an enormous, open structure with a domed roof supported by towering pillars. Surrounding the pavilion are cascading waterfalls of liquid light, flowing into crystal-clear pools. At the heart of the pavilion are the thrones of the Heavenly Principles, colossal seats made of starlight and crystal.
They guided me towards the center where seven gigantic thrones stood high. The Heavenly Principles were giant, ethereal beings whose faces are always obscured, shrouded in a veil of radiant light. No matter how hard I try to get a glimpse of their faces, it would distort more.
"Aren't they creepy?" Inari whispered on my ears as we got closer to the center.
"In the presence of the cosmos, where stars weave their eternal dance, I, Harmonia, acknowledge thee, Naomi, Guardian of the Stars. Your bond with the celestial realms is woven with threads of destiny and purpose. Speak, Guardian, and let your request resonate with the harmony of the cosmos."
Her voice resonate with the harmony of the cosmos, commanding attention and respect. It took me a while to gather the courage and speak.
"In the sacred presence of the stars and amidst the cosmic symphony, I, Naomi Fujiwara, Guardian of the Stars, humbly entreat you, Harmonia." My voice echoed with determination, filling the celestial pavilion with its earnest plea.
