Third Person's Point of View
They all sat down inside the conference room of the Jujutsu Headquarters. Almost all the sorcerers were present. Satoru's hands trembled as he looked at Naomi, standing beside her brother. Inari's physical manifestation was currently explaining what had happened during the five years Naomi was gone.
He doesn't know how it all happened but Inari, the infamous kitsune is standing before them, talking and explaning.
"Akemi made a decision that would change everything. She sacrificed herself and her remaining essence to bring Naomi back to life three years ago, and it took Naomi two years to fully manifest her physical self and consciousness."
Naomi's parents were crying as they hugged her tightly. Naoki, on the other hand, was trying to keep himself from crying.
After the conference ended, everyone close to her went and hugged her, telling her how much they missed her. Satoru stood there and watched her smile at them.
Slowly, he turned his back on them and headed towards the rooftop of the building, trying to calm the chaos inside his mind and heart. His hands were trembling as he reached for the railings, crying his heart out.
"Why are you here?" It was Suguru's voice. He stood beside Satoru and rested his arm on the railings as they both watched the sun setting.
"I don't know, Suguru," Satoru admitted, clenching his fists.
"That's new. You hate admitting that you don't know." Suguru chuckled and gave him a pat on the shoulder.
"I am very happy, but I don't know why I'm acting like this. I want to hold her, but at the same time, I don't. Why are my feelings in conflict now?" Satoru asked, clutching his chest.
"I've been waiting for this time for five years, Suguru. Why am I acting like this?" He looked at Suguru with tears streaming down his face.
Suguru was shocked but tried to hide his emotions. He then gave Satoru a reassuring smile. "Maybe because you're scared that she'll be gone again? I've heard that she disappeared many times before this."
"This may be your response to all the pain you've endured when you lost her, Satoru. I don't blame you for reacting like this. You mourned for her for five whole years. Everything and almost everyone told you that she'd never be back. Take things slow. I'm sure Naomi will understand."
Suguru left after a moment of silence, receiving a call from the Espionage Unit about another mission.
Leaving, huh?
Satoru's phone buzzed inside his pocket. He fetched it and read the text that Suguru sent him.
As soon as he saw the text, he immediately wiped his face with his shirt underneath his jacket, not wanting Naomi to notice the tear stains.
He waited frantically, trying to calm himself down. When he heard the door open, he did his best not to turn back, not wanting to seem like he was anticipating her arrival.
