"Well that was just pure pain", Eddie mutters under his breath while walking out of his last class of the day. Everyone has always seen him as the future dropout. The failure. I mean, to be fair, this is definitely not his first senior year. But he's swearing it is the last one this time. He never really let it show to others, but it always stings a little when people make jokes on his behalf about not finishing high school and watching his classmates graduate every year. Not that they were ever friends of Eddie. But still. He felt that it was embarrassing to be almost 20 years old and still in high school.

"Hey, are you listening?", Dustin nudges Eddie.

"Are you coming to Mike's, me and him were gonna watch a scary movie!", he continues while searching for any expression on Eddies face.

Eddie let's out a sigh. "I mean I guess someone has to be there to cuddle you kids when you get too /scared/". "And I suppose you need a ride?", Eddie raises his eyebrow jokingly.

"You read our minds", Dustin let's out a tiny chuckle.

Eddie puts left arm on Mike's shoulder and the right one on Dustin's shoulder as he is walking outside.

"So... What movie did you kids have in mind?", he teases Dustin and Mike.

Dustin starts to explain about the movie, but Eddies mind is distracted as they are walking. From the corner of his eyes, he spots Freya and Steve standing next to Steve's car. He can't really hear what they are talking about but based on Steve's hands waving everywhere it's not anything positive. Oh, would you look at that, trouble in the perfect paradise, Eddie thinks mockingly in his head. He didn't quite understand why Steve and Freya got him to lose his nerves every time, even by just looking at them. He had always had a little bit of problem with Steve since he liked to tease Eddie a lot. And maybe it had something to do with how Dustin idolizes Steve. But Freya. He thought that Freya was kind of cool in the earlier years. She used to have a nose ring, few streaks of red in her hair and she was just the right amount of quiet. But since she had started to date Steve, things went the other way. He was pretty sure that Freya had found Eddie always kind of annoying but let's be honest, Eddie never minded. But now, it almost looked like that this change in her minded him a bit.

"So does that sound good?". Eddies thoughts are interrupted by Dustin's question.

"Oh yeah sure, get in so I can get home some time", Eddie jokes while walking to open his car door.

Eddie checks that the boys have their seatbelts on before speeding out. He never wore one but always checked that others were wearing one. When someone would ask about that he always said that it's a bigger lost to the world to lose someone else than him. Of course, that was a joke. The real reason was that he just couldn't stand the idea of someone else getting hurt because of his reckless driving. And as everyone knew, that was the only way Eddie knew how to drive.

Arriving to Mike's place was quick. Driving down the last road Eddie had seen Steve's car leaving but only Steve in it. Mike had casually said that it seemed weird, since Steve always stayed at least an hour with Freya. Eddie knew about the fight, since he had seen a glimpse of it, but he did keep his mouth shut. He was a little bit confused as to why he felt bad. Not for Steve, obviously, but a little bad for Freya.

"Eddie can you grab us a couple of sodas and me and Dusty will go put the movie on in my room?", Mike asked, and he and Dustin raced to upstairs. Eddie chuckled a bit under his breath and went to the fridge. As he was leaning on the door with his head almost inside the fridge, he heard a noise.

"Excuse me Munson. Am a having a nightmare or what are you doing in our fridge?", Freya asked with an almost playful tone in her voice.

Eddie turned around like a lightning had struck him and slammed the fridge door shut.

"Just grabbing a few refreshments for the kids before the movie. You know, my time to babysit. You can take the night off", he said, answering the slightly humorous tone.

"Sorry for lecturing but soda is bad for the kids. You should know by now. But don't worry, I won't tell the babysitters club", Freya answered.

Eddie was surprised of her tone. They were really having a conversation without actually mocking each other. He started to wonder was she always this nice without Steve next to her.

"So, movie night? What movie are you planning to watch?", Freya asked while going through the kitchen cabinets looking for a snack.

"I would tell you if you weren't Mike's sister but let's just say something like The Goonies", he answered while leaning on the small kitchen island. Freya turned around and flashed him a sarcastic smile. There was a slight moment of silence while they were just staring at each other. It probably lasted only two seconds, but Eddie felt like it went on for a good two minutes. He felt kind of awkward but nice.

"Well have fun. Never say die!", Freya broke the silence. Jesus, what a tacky joke, Eddie thought but he still let out a small chuckle. Freya left the kitchen and Eddie was left standing alone. He found himself looking her walk away and snapped himself out of his thoughts. He went back to the fridge, grabbed three sodas and went walking to upstairs.

"Ohhhhh that was sooooo good!", Dustin was almost screaming after the end credits of Halloween 3 started.

"I can't wait for the next one. We HAVE to go see that one in a movie theater!", Mike exclaimed.

Eddie was smiling, looking at the boys. It felt good to see them genuinely happy over such a simple thing. He definitely knew these boys were one of his, no one likes horror movies that much.

"You picked a good one kids", Eddie said while pushing him self up from Mike's floor.

"I'll be right back. Gonna go find my mask", he said jokingly as he opened the door.

As Eddie was walking down the hall towards the bathroom, he heard something familiar. He stopped in his tracks and started to listen more closely. Rebel Yell? he thought in his mind. He started to locate the music until he realized, it was coming from Freya's room. Wait what, seriously? He tiptoed closer to the door. Now he heard a faint noise singing. Freya was singing Billy Idol. Okay this is getting crazy... He had no idea what he was witnessing. Was she really cooler than he had thought? He wondered if Steve knew about this side of her. He had to press his ear gently on the door just to get a better understanding of what was happening.

And then the door opened.

// Okay guyssss... Next chapter we are learning a bit more about Freya's other side and having a real convo between Eddie and Freya. And someone will be blurting out something that maybe they shouldn't.. Please leave me comments if you have any thoughts! And thank you so much who have read or voted for this. Love you <33 //
