After the forced retreat of their enemies, the group would organize in the village. A few of them were hurt, but nothing life threatening. The villagers were happy to be liberated. The rest of the day passed and the night started. They all would sleep at the same time during this night. The next day they were woken up by artillery strikes and bombing. The village was under heavy fire from the enemy and started burning. Tekurai's group however was able to dodge the shells and bombs, and were (mostly) uninjured. But they knew it was not all that would happen. This kind of bombing would generally be followed up with an assault. They had to somehow prepare for that, even though they were only 6 and not fully recovered. The attack came in soon after. Hundreds of armed soldiers and even armored vehicles attacked the burning village and its 6 defenders, who responded with machinegun fires (machineguns abandoned by the enemy during their previous retreat.). The machinegun fires were not enough to stop the enemy and they had to retreat further within the burning village, using the burning buildings as cover. Then out of nowhere, a group of attacking soldiers was blown up from the above. It was Akio who had climbed to the top of a house and used a rocket launcher. He then continued the retreat. The 6 of them successfully retreated to the town hall, where they'd attempt to make a stand. The enemy soldiers kept advancing and reached the surroundings of the town hall. They begin to attack it but they were met with machineguns fire and were unable to get to it. A tank arrived there however, and fired on one of the windows where the fire was coming from. This was where Ayaka was standing, but she managed to barely dodge the shell. Tekurai's group were on the windows of the first floor of the town hall, firing at the enemies, but the tank would use its machinegun and canon to fire back, and could not be penetrated by any bullets. The other soldiers were also firing but their bullets were more dodgeable. The tank would use its canon to aim at the windows and destroy them. But before that happened, it was blown up by a shot from the second floor of the town hall. It was Akio yet again, using an at gun to take it out. He did not make the mistake of staying close to the window and was already running to get down the first floor again before the other soldiers could fire at him. Eventually however, the town hall would be surrounded with soldiers; who'd storm it from all sides, and their assault could not be stopped, which required the group to retreat to the second floor, taking as much material as they could there. Now, the first floor was occupied with enemy soldiers, and they'd attempt to take the stairs leading up to the second floor but they could not as it was too narrow and easily defendable. But at the same time, other soldiers would attempt to climb the windows, so Tekurai split up the team. Senshi and Sora to defend the stairs, the rest would shoot at anyone trying to climb the windows. A soldier tried to throw a grenade on the second floor, but it was thrown right back at him. Another soldier who witnessed that, thought he was the smarter one and tried timing his throw so that the grenade would explode the moment it would arrive at the window, but he was shot before that happened. Grenades were not thrown at the stairs however, because Senshi and Sora could just dodge and the stairs would be destroyed, which would be counterproductive for the enemy.
