The ghost Divisions.

Chapter 13: Flee

 The girl Ayaka was fighting had rushed at her after being hit by the knife, like a desperate attempt to defeat her. She grabbed the knife in her chest, and tried stabbing Ayaka with it, but she dodged, and punched her in the face multiple times, knocking her out. Now, the house was under control. Not much had changed in the grand scheme of things, but it was a lot for the group. 2 of them were injured through the battle. In the other house, Tekurai had been observing the battlefield, and, amongst all the bullet noises, he managed to notice that the battle in that particular house was done. In his house, he had a few other soldiers come to reinforce. He then went to the other house and found the group trying to recover from the battle and heal wounds. He said: "I didn't expect there to be injured. What happened here? Did you face the enemy's special units? "

Akio: They were very strong. Still no match for me, but things could have gone wrong for the others. I didn't expect guys that strong to be there."

Tekurai said: "You guys did well against that. These guys probably had more experience than you, so it's impressive that you won." New soldiers will come to hold this house soon. Just wait a little.

Akio: Wouldn't the death of 6 of the enemy's special forces be a victory in itself though? A victory bigger than the acquisition of a single house?

Tekurai answered: "Yes in a way. But in such a battlefield, 6 regular soldiers are barely worth a house. Could you see all the dead bodies in the street? It was red with blood."

Natsumi said: A heroic death is one thing, but to die in the street, just like that, surrounded by a bunch of corpses, knowing that your death made no difference in this war, that's so cruel.

Tekurai: Yes, that's why we survive. We must live to make a difference in this world, and die a meaningful death. In order for that to happen, we need to get stronger.

After he said that, a few soldiers arrived through the east door. They were there to occupy and defend the house.

Tekurai said: It's time to go.

Hiroshi asked: We just took one house. Is it really?

Tekurai replied: You saw what happened here. We can't really continue like that. It's time to go. We'll come back stronger.

They ran through back to the other house. Sora was injured in the shoulder, but he could still run fast enough. Senshi was also able to make it although it was a little harder for him.

After getting back to the other house, they made their way out of the battlefield, and the city. They found the car they came in, intact (to them, so long as it's functioning it's intact). They entered it and went away from the city. Tekurai seemed to have this authority in the army, that allowed him to have a lot of freedom. In the east of the city, they finally found a medic to look at Sora and Senshi's injuries. Sora got shot in the left shoulder, but he wasn't in danger of death. Senshi had got shot in the stomach, but somehow, the injury was not life threatening either. It seemed that since Senshi's body was much stronger than an average person, he took the bullet a little bit better, and the same was true for Sora. They spent a day in the city to recover. Sleeping in it was very hard, because of the shell noises, and the actual artillery strikes that'd get close every once in a while. The next day, they went away from the city. Also, the soldiers that fought against them, at least those who survived, got captured. The two girls and the man that Akio stabbed in the stomach survived, the other 3 died.

6 Weeks have passed now. Senshi and Sora have recovered from their wounds. The group is all together in a base, waiting to hear Tekurai's words. Tekurai said:
You guys got to get stronger, it's time for some more training.
