Tekurai: Before we can begin the training though, I need to know exactly where you're at.
Tekurai had trouble estimating the level of people much weaker than him. He had overestimated his subordinates after the first mission, and that could have easily gone wrong.
Tekurai: So, I wanna assess your strength. For that we'll do a couple of things ok?
-Like fighting the great mosquitoes? jokingly said Akio
-Nah, you guys aren't strong enough for that yet. answered Tekurai. Instead, come at me with intent to kill, all at the same time.
So, they all rushed him at the same time, aside from Akio. All of them lost and fell to the ground.
"Why didn't you come" said Tekurai
"I was just letting the others go first, so You and I could have a serious 1v1." Answered Akio
"Then, come" said Tekurai
Akio rushed at Tekurai and got defeated in one punch. He didn't stand a chance.
Tekurai said "You were overconfident, and it lost you the battle, not that you could've won anyway. But learn to break away from your pride if you wanna live long.
Everyone then got up. Tekurai said:
"Now that I have assessed your strengths, we can begin the training."
"But we've already trained so much, how could we get any stronger?" said Ayaka.
"We're just gonna do more practical training this time, like sparing, and fighting. It should get you to a new strength level."
"We already had such training at the facilities. I don't think much is gonna change now," said Akio
Tekurai answered: "I do it a different way. You're quickly gonna see for yourself."
He told them to go outside, in one of the fields near the base. What they saw outside shocked them all. Several animals standing there. From Cheetah, to crocodile, to Elephant. The group understood that something was gonna happen, but didn't know exactly what.
Tekurai proceeded to explain: "So, here is what you're gonna do. You're going to flip the elephant by its trunk, hold the crocodile's jaw open, and outrun the cheetah.
"Is this for real? Do you really expect us to do that ?" said Akio. " Yeah, sure, we may be able to outrun the cheetah, but do you know the bit strength of a crocodile, and an elephant is like heavier than a car."
"Take your time then, we're not in a hurry" answered Tekurai.
The rest of the group wasn't even listening to the conversation, they were just wondering how Tekurai got these animals here in the first place.
"So, who want to go first?" asked Tekurai.
Everyone just looked away. None of them wanted to go first.
Tekurai said: "Fine, then, I'll do it"
He then went one of the elephants first, and flipped it by its trunk, with just one hand, and it seemed easy to him. The entire group was shocked by that. They knew Tekurai was strong, but they didn't know he was that strong. After all, an elephant is like 3 cars. Tekurai didn't stop there, though, as he went to one the crocodile, opened his jaw, and when the crocodile tried closing it back, he just held it open. He did that for a few seconds, before running after one of the cheetahs. All the animals were scared of him, and would freeze, but a few. One of the cheetahs was running away at peak speed, so he ran after him, caught him, and brought him back. He then said: "It's you guys' turns. Who goes first? How about you Akio? Your name is the first one after all."
As prideful as Akio was, he was still scared of the animals. He approached them slowly. First was the elephant. He grabbed one of them by the trunk, and then tried to flip it, but he wasn't strong enough. After all, he was trying to lift the equivalent of a small house. He was ashamed of that, but went to the crocodile, nonetheless, and opened its jaw. The crocodile then went to close it, and tried keeping it open with his hands, but it was a struggle, and his hands were losing, as the crocodile's jaw was slowly closing. He at least got his hands out, before trying to cheetah next. He scared it away and made it run with noise. The other animals stayed in their place, just by fear of Tekurai. That one cheetah however, ran as fast as it could, and Akio went after it. He managed to catch up to it, and get it back, but he was a bit exhausted after that.
Tekurai said:" Ok, next up Ayaka"
She answered: "Sir, there is no way I can take on the elephant or the crocodile, if Akio couldn't. Let me just try to get to the cheetah, if Akio couldn't get the others, none of us even stand a chance, so let us chase after the fast cheetah. Please have mercy."
Tekurai said: "Ok, fine"
Ayaka then got to chase after one cheetah, and caught it. Cheetahs are like giant cats, and they're cute, so Ayaka couldn't resist petting it. The cheetah wanted to bite, but Tekurai's "aura" was too scary for him to do that. The rest of the group chased Cheetahs, and they all got theirs.
Tekurai told them: "Ok, so, this time, you weren't successful in the other things, but I expect you to be eventually able to do this once you have trained enough. You might not necessarily do it within our current training season, but eventually, you should be able to. As for your real training, it will start now."
