While the battle for the town hall continued, other soldiers had gone to conquer to rest of the village. Now the town hall was the last place left to conquer. The lieutenant colonel there thought about blowing up walls of the second floor but they were too thick to be blown by artillery or grenades. So were the floors of the building. And bombing it from the air would result in collateral damage. So, in order to take the building, they had to somehow either climb it or get through the stairs. And their enemy was Tekurai, so that would be almost impossible to do. But they would run out of food or ammunition in time so they'd win eventually. But reinforcement would surely be coming to retake the village, and things will be a lot harder if they have not conquered the town hall by then. So, the lieutenant colonel decided his best option was to throw more soldiers at the stairs. The soldiers would try using the dead as shields, but even so they could not get to the second floor due to the deadly accuracy of Senshi and Sora; shooting them wherever they were not protected. Someone had the idea to throw a smoke grenade but Sora and Senshi most likely had access to thermal goggles thanks to the equipment they stole; but that equipment would be running out if enough men were sacrificed. But that wasn't a sacrifice the lieutenant colonel was willing to do. So instead, the soldiers settled on the first floor, stop attacking the stairs or trying to climb on the walls. They'd be in a defensive position from now on, trying to starve their enemies of resources. Meanwhile on the second floor, Tekurai's group had plenty of resources, still. Ammunitions, and food, although the food taste awful. But they couldn't rest, for the enemy may attack at any time. They had to hold out until reinforcement came in. And they also had to be wary of the occasional artillery strike. Hours passed, and at some point, everything went quiet. The first floor had less soldiers in it than previously as many of them moved to other parts of the village in order to defend it. There was a total of 798 soldiers in the village. At some point, gunfires could suddenly be heard in the distance. At the east of the city, a battle had begun. The reinforcements that thought the village would be liberated, engaged with the soldiers that were charged to defend that part of it. Since the village, was largely destroyed and burning, defending it would be harder than normal, but they had the number advantage for now. Usually, the attacker is the one who needs number advantage to succeed. But in this situation, a large number of soldiers were spread throughout the city and around the town hall to prevent the escape of Tekurai's group. At the west of the city (the side where the enemy's country is), a certain man arrived.
