In order to get to their first mission, they took a train ride to the border. Tekurai explained that due to them having no battle experience, they would not be sent to the main front, but instead, to a small village at the border. The village had come under the control of enemy forces, and their mission was to take it back. The intelligence that they have says that the village is occupied by about 200 soldiers. Akio asked him how they planned on taking the city, especially when so outnumbered. Tekurai answered: "There are soldiers out there that have liberated entire cities by themselves, and taken on more soldiers than 200. If we're smart about this, it shouldn't be too hard. That's why I've got a good pretty good plan. We're going to use the forest to defeat our enemies." They had already been armed with weapons when they arrived at the train station. When they arrived in a location close to the border, they went out of the train and proceeded to execute the plan. There was a forest near the village they wanted to take. They entered the forest. Equipped with a sniper, Hiroshi took a shot at one of the soldiers he saw in the village, from all the way in the forest. He missed, but he did what he wanted. Now all the soldiers in the village knew there was someone in the forest. One of them tried to inform their major (the troops 'leader) of what that to have him give order. On his way to the major's room, he found someone getting out of the room. When he knocked on the door, there was no response. This continued for a few minutes. He tried telling the major that this was an emergency, but he wasn't even heard. So, he decided to enter, but the door was locked. By that time, several other soldiers had arrived and were also wondering why the major wouldn't let him enter or even say anything, so they forced open the door to see what was happening, and the major was dead. Sora infiltrated the troops and assassinated him. The man who went out of the room was him, and he was long gone when the soldiers realized what happened. With no major to give orders, they were in a disorganized state, especially knowing the threat that was in the forest, so they decided to send about 40 soldiers in the forest to see what was happening. When the soldiers entered the forest, they initially found nothing, but kept advancing to clear out the entire forest. They were walking in the forest, when all of a sudden, they got shot from above, and grenades fell on them too. Tekurai's group, aside from Sora, had climbed the trees and hid in them, and they were now shooting down on the soldiers. They took a few seconds to realize what was happening, but over 10 of them had already been shot by then, and then the grenades exploded, killing even more of them. Those who survived tried shooting back, but they were could not hit a single shot since their targets would constantly be moving, and therefore, made it impossible to aim properly for average soldiers. In only 2 minutes, all those soldiers where killed.
