Daewon never really liked waking up earlier than he was required to but the members said was urgent so he got up, threw some clothes on, and joined them in the lobby.

"What is the meaning of this?" he questions groggily. He feels an arm slip around his waist comfortingly.

"We figured that we could all go to breakfast. Spend some quality time together," Beomgyu says and Daewon eyes him suspiciously.

"You woke me up for that?"

"Come on hyung you'll love it! We found a place online that has high ratings for their crepes" Taehyun urges and Daewon gives in. He always did love a good crepe. Begrudgingly the second eldest trails after the group to the cars and soon they're off to a diner.

Once they're situated in their seats Daewon takes a moment to look around noticing how the place was empty. He wondered if it was because the place just opened.

"What are you thinking hyung? Personally, I think these banana strawberry ones look good" Kai says pointing to one of the crepes on the menu. 

"I think I want the Mon Cheri Amour," Daewon says, easily reading the french food off the menu. The members listen in awe admiring the smooth way he pronounces the words. It sounded so fancy.

"Oh yeah, you did spend a summer in France," Beomgyu says, recalling the small detail.

"It was actually two," Daewon shrugs. He'd admired Europe from a young age from their Renaissance architecture to the mouth watering food. The group had him read off other fancy crepe names which Daewon does with ease before every food is read off and the members move on to ordering their food.

After telling the kind waitress their order they sit and talk amongst themselves while they wait. Daewon noticed how particularly chatty the members were considering it being so early in the morning. It didn't come to him that the members had been planning something until the waitress brought out his food accompanied by a small cupcake with a candle on it.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday our Daewon! Happy birthday to you!" the members sing and Daewon smiles brightly.

"What are you waiting for, blow out the candle," Yeonjun says noticing how Daewon just stared into the flame. The now twenty two year old clasps his hands together as he closes his eyes to make a wish before blowing the candle out.

"Thanks, guys," he says before digging into his food

"What no speech this year?" Kai questions expecting the emotional speech Daewon typically gave on his birthday"

"Nope. I'd rather not cry this year" Daewon says with a cheeky grin before eating another bite of his cherry and whipped cream crepe that has him moaning in pure delight. The members grumble as they begin eating their own food, feeling a little disappointed they hadn't gotten their usual tear filled speech that they often teased Daewon about.

Once he had food in him Daewon felt a lot more awake and chatty than he did moments ago. Before he knew it they'd spent over half an hour in the diner, talking, eating, and laughing. Once their plates were clear from food and their check was paid they left the diner to climb into the van.

"I can go back to sleep now right?" he questions only to receive a no for an answer.

"And why not?"

"Because we have a whole day planned!" Kai giggles and Daewon wonders just what the hell he was in for today. They drove for a while until the van finally came to a stop.

"And this is it hyung! We're going bike riding!" Beomgyu announces as Daewon looks out the window in confusion.

"Why?"

"Remember? When we first debuted you said you wanted to go bike riding with everyone," Kai says recalling the day Daewon announced he wanted to ride bikes with everyone. The member in question scratches his head.

"I did say that huh?"

"You don't want to?" Taehyun questions feeling a little dejected.

"No no, it's not that. I just don't remember saying that. Thanks for remembering guys" Daewon says and soon a hand is clasped on his shoulder.

"Well let's go then!" Soobin giggles as he tugs Daewon into the building. They had a trail leader who would lead them through the bike trail to ensure no one would get lost. The group had to go through a small safety course as well as sign some documents before they were allowed to go on the trail. Now with a blue helmet on his head, Daewon sat on the seat of the bike gently peddling behind the instructor.

"When was the last time we rode bikes?" He questions out loud mainly to himself.

"Drama shooting"

"Did Daewon even ride a bike?" Soobin wonders. He was sure Daewon hadn't been able to ride a bike back then.

"No, my wrist was sprained, remember, I had to ride on the back of Taehyun's" Daewon answers.

"Oh, I remember that! You were so heavy" Taehyun says, laughing at the memory. Daewon gasps one hand leaving the handlebar to clutch his chest.

"How dare you?! I am not and never was heavy!"

"Sure sure hyung. Whatever makes you feel better"

"Yeonjunnie! Taehyun is being mean to me on my birthday"

"YAH! Taehyun don't be mean to my baby on his birthday" the oldest member scolds with a glare at Taehyun who rolls his eyes.

"Snitch," the second youngest says with a glare to Daewon who sticks his tongue out at him.

"Brat"

"Shut up and enjoy the trail," Soobin says with a playful sigh.

They ride through the whole trail and even had a race, which of course got them a scolding from their manager who tagged along to watch over them. It was worth it though because they'd had so much fun doing it. It made for a good memory, and a good story to tell in the future.

When they were done they returned all the gear they borrowed and returned to the bus with sore thighs.

"Maybe this wasn't the best idea," Kai laughs as he messages his sore thighs.

"We'll be fine. The next show isn't for a few days"

"See, should have stayed in bed," Daewon says with a playful smile, only to be hit upside the head by Soobin.

"Shut up you had fun"

"I did"

"Happy birthday you dork," Beomgyu says, leaning up to ruffle Daewon's hair. Another series of happy birthdays rolls around the van and Daewon snuggles up to Soobin with a smile on his face. It was a happy birthday indeed.
