Chapter 13

I see you commenting on my chapters unknown reader ;) anyways, once we get deeper into the plot I'll see if I'm able to drag eclipse into the main story. ))

It was finally the end of my Daycare shift. I watched as all the children get picked up from parents. I talked to a few, and most seem to be relieved of the fact that I worked here. Kinda made me feel good, you know? To feel needed. It was weird. "TODAY WE DID SO GOOD SUNSHINE! I'm absolutely proud of you for the work you put into today!" Sun skipped over to me and immediately praised me for doing the job. "Thanks sun, but honestly it was much easier with you. You're so good with kids." It was only natural for me to say something nice back, right?

"AW~! That means so much to me y/n! C'mon, let's clean up the remaining messes in the daycare. I'd like to get this all sorted out before I go nuts from it haha!" Sun went ahead and started cleaning up the daycare. I breathed in and out.. damn. Those kids were a lot. I'm surprised I actually survived? I mean, I don't have that much experience with kids. Other than babysitting of course, but that was cousin and younger sibling wise. These kids were entirely new and different.

Walking over to the front desk in the daycare, I checked my phone. Dry as fuck, the usual. I then proceeded to clean my desk, and that's when I found the drawing Sunny had given me during our .. heated conversation during arts and crafts.

*FLASHBACK*

"Y/n! Here!" Sun had his never ending smile on, and gave me what he'd been working on this entire time. Examining it, I watched as Sun was nervously shifting in place. I didn't want him to worry about me not liking it— this was actually kinda cute. It was a simple drawing of us. You could tell he worked hard on it. Actually, he drew moon too. On my right was moon, and on my left was sunny.

We were all holding hands. There was so much glitter on this piece of work, and it was touched me in a place where I thought I would never be touched. "Oh sunny.. I love it!! Thank you thank you!" I jumped up and hugged him. It was sweet, and to be fair.. I never really received gifts like this.

"OHH SUNBEAM IM SO HAPPY! I could melt right up from your touch!" Sun held me close before I broke apart. I went ahead and gave him my gift. "Here Sun, I actually made one for you too." Mine WASNT as childlike as suns.

Obviously- I'm kind of an artist. (Smug face rn) so mine seemed more of.. not a kid like piece of work. Sun seemed surprised, gasping. It was just a drawing of Sun in the daytime, and moon in the nighttime. Both of them were putting a smile. Of course, I put a lot of glitter glue on suns side and a bit less on moons. Considering the circumstances, I nervously watched as he examined the piece of work.

"Y/N thank you!!! I appreciate this so much, you have absolutely no idea how much me and moon love this! Please, please know how much we cherish you!" Sun held me close, being careful not to damage my gift. I smiled warmly, Sun was always so warm. He was such a sweet fellow.. at times being pushy and a weirdo but a sweet guy.

"Y/N.. Me and moon actually really l-"

"MISTER SUN!! SHASHA STOLE MY GOOGLY EYES!"

"NO I DID NOT!"

*End of flashback*

"I wonder what he wanted to say.."

Carefully taking the artwork and putting it in my bag, I continued to clean. "Um, y/n?" Out of no where sunny came by. "Oh, hey Sun! Need something?" I was kinda startled when he came up, I didn't even notice him at all. "I'd hate to ask this but.. can you bring in some supplies to help clean the play structures? Some kids actually drew inside it and I'd like to sanitize the areas myself." Sun awkwardly rubbed his rays, facing me.
