Chapter 99

We're close.

"Is this really necessary?" I ask, adjusting myself on the beanbag to be more comfortable. "Yes! I decided, and I looked it up on the internet, that you need to rest. No matter what, Y/n, i want you to be happy. The both of us do." Sun and Moon looked at each other, then back at me. "Of course, if you're not ready, we understand. But, we want you to know that you have our concerns."

"And we appreciate everything you do."

"But we would also like to tell you that you're not alone. Me and Sunny have been noticing changes in your behavior. You toss and turn at night, frankly I've been nothing but concerned."

"Guys.. I'm sorry for worrying you. I just, I'm so stressed about everything. My mom could've died, my dad is nowhere and isn't helping me mentally- Dave's practically the only father figure I've gotten so far. I'm concerned about .. Vanny and stuff, I'm afraid of what'll happen to me again. Gregory, he's like my child. I don't want anything bad to happen to him."

As if on cue, my phone began to ring. I stopped myself, breathing in and out. I check it to see it was gregory. Perfect timing..? "Gregory?" I called out, picking up and putting it on speaker.

"Heyyyy! My favorite best friend! How's everything?" I hear Bonnie call out on the phone. "Oh, bon! I'm just at the daycare with Sun and moon." I make eye contact with the two, who were interested in what Bonnie had to say. "Y/n, I'd hate to bother you but I forgot to tell you that gregory has a cold."

I jumped up from the bean bag, "A cold!? Where are you two now, where's gregory!?" I practically screamed into the phone. "Calm down, roxy and chica are taking care of him as we speak. I just thought it would be good if you knew." He calmly spoke. "Where's gregory?! I need to see if he's-" "y/n I'm sorry but I cannot hear you, you're breaking up! Bye bye!"

"He hanged up just like that?" Sun questioned. "Great, more on my plate." Moon stood up, "If you'd like, we can make some chicken soup for him. We have some, and some medicine too. We take care of kids too, you know." Moons sarcastic tone pierced my ears.

I gulped, thinking to myself. I then agreed to the idea. Hopefully gregory isn't the type to be too picky with his soups. "Come y/n, let's go." Moon picked my up, stopped. He then look at Sun, then ran over to pick him up too.

The amount of strength he has...

Woah.

Next thing you know, we ended up barging into Freddy's room. "Oh! Y/n, what a pleasant surprise." I see Gregory on Freddy's sofa. "Sorry, I thought gregory here was about to throw up his lunch so I had to end the call quickly." Bonnie laughed nervously, which made me even more upset.

"Gregory." I slowly walked over to him, bending down to his level. I felt his forehead, making a audible Tsk sound. "Mommy.." he slowly opened his eyes, taking my hand. I was surprised by the interaction. I didn't know what to do. I gently smiled, lightly tugging at him.

"Are you well enough to eat? Your body needs something to eat. After you eat, I'll need you to take some medicine please."

Moon walked forward with sun, who had the food in his hands. "Y/n, with all due respect.. I think it's best if you turn in for tonight. You could get sick too, and we don't want that happening." Bonnie insisted. I look up at Bonnie, then at gregory. "..I promise I'll visit you when I can. First, I want to give you this."

I gestured Moon to come forward. He bent down, and gave Gregory a plushie. It was a good old fashioned teddy bear plushy. Gregory smiled, taking the plushie and holding it close. "Thank you."

"We'll take it from here, I promise we will take care of him." Freddy puts a hand in my shoulder. I looked back at him, nodding. Sun and moon wished gregory the best, and were the two the left first. I stayed for a moment with Gregory. "How're you doing?" I ask.

"I'm just stuffy and hot. It's so weird.. but I'm glad I'm not outside in the cold though."

"We should start giving you vitamins for your immune system." I said, then cringed when I realized I talked like an adult. "I'll be okay, I promise." Gregory smiled, but I can tell he was feeling out of it.

I patted his head, standing up. "Goodnight gregory. Make sure to call me if you need anything." Gregory nods, "Okay..Stay safe."  He told me. I walked out the room, where I saw sun and moon falling silent. "Y/n, it's getting late. We should retreat to sleep." Moon suggests.

"Is it okay? Am I doing the right thing?"

"As a parent?"

"I don't know. He calls me ma then calls freddy pa."

"Why aren't we called dad?!"

"Maybe because you guys had a rough start with him."

"What?!"

"Come along sunny, no need to whine because you aren't Gregory's favorite."

I finally fell asleep. Dreamland.

"Mom, I'm so cold.. but I'm so hot." I exclaimed, breathing heavily on my bed. "Oh honey, it'll be over shortly. I'm sorry I couldn't be here for this. But, [older brothers name] will be able to take care of you until I can see you." My mom moved closer, planting a peck on my forehead. "Mommm I wanna play with y/n.." my younger brother complained. "Y/n can't, sweeto. Be nice to your brother, okay? Mom needs to head back to work."

"But! But!"

"Mom.." I called out to her again, like a whining child. My mother stiffened but turned back to me, walking towards my bed. "Yes, dear?" She bent down. "I'm scared, the nightmares are gonna come back." I say, my eyes filling with tears. My mom froze but slowly formed a smile.

She laid her head beside me, her right arm holding around my body. "Shh.. let's go to sleep. Y/n, is it better if we're like this? Just until I need to go. Okay?" My mom whispered, as I finally closed my eyes to drift into my sleep.

"Mom.." Sun and moon stopped and looked down at y/n, who was breathing quite uncomfortably. "Shh.. it's okay, it's okay." Moon softly patted y/ns stomach. "Do you think they'll be okay? Everytime I scan them, I notice their stress levels being.." moon nodded. "Eclipse said everything will be okay. Don't worry." Sun was silent. He looked at his brother, then moon stared back at him.

"Lunar?"

"How did you know?"
