Izuku stands up straight and wipes the sweat from his brow looking at all the work he's finished for the day. He sighs, counting the boxes. In the living room alone there are five boxes worth of Masashi's things, and two of his own. He hasn't even finished with this room, but he knows that two is the most he's going to get out of here. He made sure to grab all of his things first. Even so, he's never realized how little of his home is made of himself. He makes his way out of the living room and into the hall, making his way down to the office where Ena and Akasuki have been hard at work, putting books away. The room is full of them, and if there's anything that he trusts them with, it is the books for now, although he was more than thorough about how to pack them. He opens the door and walks in to find most of the books put away save the small section in the corner of the room. He smiles softly and nods, "Great job, you two. Thank you for helping me out. I never realized how much stuff there is in here until I started packing. I don't think I'd ever be able to finish this if it weren't for you two coming to help."
Ena drops a box hastily onto the floor, clapping her hands together as if to clear them of any built-up debris. Izuku feels himself cringe at the loud crash that accompanies the box hitting the ground. "Please tell me you haven't made a habit of that," he chuckles awkwardly.
"Huh? Why wouldn't I? Those boxes are heavy, Izu," she answers.
Izuku hurries across the room and squats next to the box that had been dropped, opening it quickly to check the condition of the books. He takes everything out, making sure that nothing strange has happened to any of the books and sighing with relief upon finding everything in tip-top shape. "They aren't my books," he replies, starting to put the books back into the box. "I just don't think it would be ideal to have to deal with Masa finding out something of his got ruined. Sorry for freaking out."
"No worries. I should've been more careful, if not for him than for you." She walks to stand in front of Izuku, waiting for him to stand up straight again before enveloping him in a hug. She rests her chin on his head and sighs, "I'll try to be more considerate of his things from now on."
His eyebrows knit together and he pulls his head back, "Ena, exactly how many boxes have you dropped?"
Akasuki cuts in, "Izuku, don't ask questions you don't want answers to. It's best to leave that unanswered," she sighs. "Come on, if we're done for the night, we should pack the car up some and go get some food. I'm sure you're both starving ."
Izuku takes another glance around the room, making sure everything is in good enough shape for the night. He nods, "Yeah, let's go. Do I need to cook or are we going to pick something up?"
Ena tilts her head, "Well, I heard about this nice little shop that does ramen, would you guys want that?"
"I don't see why not," Akasuki replies.
"Yeah, ramen sounds nice," Izuku reasons. "Come on, there are a couple of boxes in the living room, and I think that's all for the night. We can grab those on the way out."
His friends agree and follow him into the living room, Akasuki grabbing one box and Izuku grabbing the other as he hands his keys off to Ena to lock up the house. They bot set the boxes in the trunk and get into their spots in the car, Ena setting off for the ramen shop she'd mentioned. It's been a good week since Ena invited him to move into her place, and sometimes it still doesn't feel real. But, at this point in time, it seems to be coming together. Aside from a pile of clothes and some other essentials, tonight will be the first night he actually has some things of his own at the apartment. The thought fills his stomach with a fluttering feeling and his heart feels full. Somehow, it even feels easier to breathe. He leans his head back and closes his eyes, only opening them when he hears Ena turn the car off.
