Roxy was scouring the maintenance tunnels for her bandmates. They hadn't been seen for an hour and it was getting concerning. The pizzaplex was closing at the moment so it wasn't an immediate problem, thank god. Chica and the STAFF bots were searching around the main areas and Roxy had volunteered to search the employee only areas.

And that's where she found them, Monty being almost fully supported by Freddy as he... cried?

Oh fuck what had happened.

She approached quietly and let Freddy notice her.

"Roxy! It is good to see you." He kept his voice soft and quiet (well as soft as their voice boxes could go) and Roxy did the same.

"Fred what happened?"

"Monty... remembered something bad. It hit him hard. Could you help me bring him to his room?"

"Of course." They helped Monty stand and walked him back to his room. Once Monty was situated Roxy turned her attention to helping Freddy. "Fred you should go."

"I want to stay and help though!"

"I know you do but I've got him and you've already helped a ton. Besides, isn't Gregory coming back tonight? Don't you have to finish getting his stuff together?" That snapped him out of worried dad mode for a moment. Well, worried dad for Monty anyways.

"That's right! I still have to get the cot set up and get the things from the Daycare Attendant!" He paused for a moment. "Are you sure that I cannot help Monty any more?"

"Fred, I've got him. If I need help I know how to call you. Don't worry." That seemed to satisfy him. He gave Roxy one last hug before running off.

Gregory felt like he was going to throw up, and the car ride taking forever wasn't helping. He played with the strings of his hoodie. I shouldn't be this nervous. Vanessa had seen Chica, she was fine, totally back to normal, there wasn't anything to worry about. He knew this, he wasn't even worried about the animatronics going haywire, if he could escape once he could do it again, but he was scared of something, and not knowing what he was scared of just frightened him even more. Vanessa was singing along with whatever music was on the radio and he tried to focus on that instead of his nerves.

Tapping the pockets of his shorts he felt the granola bars wrappers, forks, and dollar bills. By wiggling his toes he could feel the coins under his feet. (The coins made less noise in his shoes than in his pockets.) The reminder that he still has his safety net in place helped calm him down immensely. Four granola bars, seven dollars fifty cents, and two forks. He was going to be okay no matter what happened.

"Are you sure you're ready to do this?" Vanessa said, bringing Gregory back. "You know we can wait longer if you want, more time t—"

"No, I'm ready now." He wasn't actually sure if he was ready, but he missed Freddy. That was more motivation to go back than anything else.

"If you're sure. Want to put something else on the radio?"

They got to the Pizzaplex at ten fifteen. Late, definitely, but almost two hours before Vanessa's shift was supposed to start. He wanted to try and surprise Freddy so they had left early. (The surprise part was half true. Really he just wanted to see Freddy and couldn't wait the extra hours.)

Gregory grabbed the his duffel bag from the car's trunk and Vanessa grabbed the remaining shopping bags. Slinging the bag over his shoulder he started walking towards the towering building.

It's fine. It's going to be fine. Calm down. Calm down, you can do this.

He stood in front of the doors and waited. For Vanessa to catch up. Definitely.
