                                                           ~WHO ARE YOU?~

Chapter 3

I have been at the coffee shop for four hours. I got a lot done in my story, despite the haunting image of someone being ran over replaying in my head repetitively. I had sent in the next chapter, and millions of views appeared in minutes. I couldn't tell if today was a good day, or if it really did just suck.

I was tempted to leave, but I thought I would post to my community what had happened today. And so, I did. You might be thinking why I am posting something so serious to my community like this, and especially why I'm doing it so easily. Well, the answer to that is because...

Being someone who hasn't had a friend in 10 years, you don't really have anyone to 'talk' to. When exciting things happen in life, like for example... seeing the Aurora Borealis! Seeing something that exciting, you'd want to share it with someone, right? Or for this instance... I'm sad, and even a little distraught over what I just saw. Everybody wants and needs someone to talk to. Having no friends means bottling all sorts of things up, and not saying a word about it. Having no friends means sometimes being crushed, and depressed over not being able to express your real emotions. So when I have at least a community, especially being blessed with the opportunity to have such a large one, it's kind of hard keeping these thoughts to myself.

I packed my computer, thanked the barista's for the coffee, and away I went. I was tired. I don't like not having sleep, it makes me miserable, half because when I'm tired, depressing thoughts tend to creep in, since you're not at your best to defend yourself from them.

The air was cold, and so I nuzzled into my sweater.

It was around 7:00 p.m, and the sun was kissing the moon goodnight. A smile crept up my cheeks as I looked at the sky. It was really pretty. It was colored with all sorts of blues, golds, pinks, and even oranges. "Well maybe I can let this be an exception," I said to myself.

Sleep can wait.

I made my way through the city. My destination was a more quieter place, with a better view of the sunset.

But as I was walking... I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched. Have you ever got that feeling, like someone had their eyes on you? Well I don't know how to describe it well... but I suppose you could consider it a 'sixth sense.' And my sensors were not happy. I guess to put it in a more imaginary way; green is the color in your head when you're perfectly fine. Yellow is when something was suspicious, but cant put your finger on it. And I'm sure you already know what orange and red is. I'd say the light in my head was in between yellow and orange.

I decided to take a peek over my shoulder, just to be sure. Admittedly I was actually pretty nervous, who knows what is going to appear behind you, and who knows what intentions they have with you... I finally gathered what little courage I had and peeked behind me.

Just a bunch normal people... I sighed. What am I getting so worked up about? I shrugged and kept going.

But...

Just then...

In the corner of my eye, in my peripheral vision, I saw it. I turned my head fully to his direction. It's the guy from earlier... at the subway... the same guy, with dyed platinum white hair, the weird mask, and long dark trench coat. He was just standing there. When he noticed I was looking at him, yes, when he noticed ME, Kanashii Yaku, was staring at him, he turned away. This was when the light in my head, went from green to red, in not even a second. The color drained from my face. I don't even know this guy, but I knew something was really off. This guy was dangerous, I could just sense it. I can't make a scene though, otherwise I'm definitely gonna get myself somewhere bad... I thought. I acted like I wasn't looking at him, and kept moving.
