"I'm surprised you actually messaged me! Here I was thinking I would never get my coffee date."
"It's not a date. And please, I owed it to you for the incident with Chica the other day. I apologize again for that."
"Hahaha! Right... right... not a date- ssuuurrrreee Dark."
"It's not!" Anti laughs and smacks Dark's shoulder, "I know that! Jesus Dark, you should know by know how much I love fucking with you."
"I really should, shouldn't I?" He sighs as the two turn the corner, walking up to the small beach cafe. Anti skips in front of Dark and opens the door, a small bell chiming as they spin and bow slightly so the shade can walk in.
The cafe is covered with earthy tones; mahogany wood fills the cozy shop, and leafy plants bring a pop of green. Lanterns and candles light up the store with a warm yellow hue, bringing heat to the cheeks, and the tables are surrounded by elegant metal chairs and pillowed couches. Relaxing lofi jazz plays throughout the room, a soft sound over the few quiet conversations and contrasting the sharp sound of dishware being moved and placed on tabletops. The menus are written in elegant writing on blackboards nailed to the wall, behind the counter, with various baked goods in the glass box and jars on the counter. Next to the register, there is a white vase of purple flowers with stickers of anime characters, cute animals, and pride flags. The curtains are a deep green, and the window frames match the elegant chairs with black metal. The walls are covered in photos and paintings that add swirls and splashes of different colors to the room. Anti grabs Dark's arm and lightly leads him towards the shiny counter before they let go to roll up the sleeves on their custom-made bomber jacket. "What do you feel like?"
"Is it possible to get a mocha cookie crumble frappuccino?"
"A fucking what?" They shake their head and tilt it slightly in confusion. "Is that a no?" Anti turns their body towards the counter and closes their eyes, "It's not a no; it just sounds complicated," He side glares at the shade next to him with a smirk, "Fitting for a pompous asshole like yourself." Dark rolls his eyes before looking at the barista walking toward them.
They're a short, pear-bodied person with clear, warm ivory skin and soft, short orange-dyed hair. They have large round glasses that cover their hazel eyes decorated with eyeliner wings and two hearts under their eyes that fade into their definite natural freckles. The chalk name tag on their uniform reads 'October' in neat round handwriting. "Hey, Anti! Haven't seen you in a while! How've you been? Who's your friend?"
"Hey, October! This is Dark, he owed me a coffee after a little... incident a few days ago. Dark, this is my friend and favourite barista," Anti shoots a playful wink the barista's way, "October. Strange to see you here on a Tuesday I thought you only worked weekends?"
"I usually do, but unfortunately, no one else was available to take the shift. It's always nice to meet another friend on Anti's, Dark, considering you are probably his only friend-"
"Hey..."
"It's not often they bring another person around these parts of town. The last time they brought another person here, I believe it was that one really loud guy with the green hair?"
"Jack?"
"Yeah him! He was funny. Anyway, it's nice to meet you! What would like to order?"
"Is it alright if it's a little complicated?"
