"It's okay," Miss Chiaka said and I looked up to her. "She's now finally okay. You don't have to worry about her anymore. She's just sleeping right now and if she regain her energy, she'll wake up in no time."
Once again, I nodded my head. Right.
Hindi na rin naman nagtagal pa sina Miss Rika sa loob ng kwarto namin at kaagad na rin naman silang nagpaalam. They left with Senior Jian after he check on Marvin and my Mom's vitals for the last time.
"Are you okay?" Marvin asked when I lazily sat down beside him. "You can lay down here," he said as he tapped the empty side beside him.
Hindi na ako nagsalita pa at humiga na lamang ako sa tabi niya. Hindi ko nga alam kung anong oras ako nakatulog. When I woke up, I saw him sleeping beside me. When I moved, he opened his eyes.
"You can sleep more," I told him.
He blinked for a while and said, "Are you going somewhere?" he asked.
"Bibili lang ako ng pagkain natin," kaagad ko naman na sagot at saka inayos ang damit ko. "Hindi pwedeng hindi ka kumain nang maaga ngayon dahil marami kang gamot na iniinom."
Napaiwas naman siya nang tingin. "Okay na naman ako," kaagad niya na sabi pero pabulong lang.
Pabulong lang pero narinig ko kaya naman sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. "Stop it, okay? Eat and drink all the medicine, understood?"
He slowly nodded his head. "Yes," he answered.
Nang tingnan ko naman ang phone ko ay nakita ko naman na nagtext sa akin si Jullia. "Jullia will be here," kaagad na sabi ko at saka tumingin kay Marvin. "She'll visit you with her boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?" he repeated as he raised his eyebrow.
Kumunot naman ang noo ko. "You didn't know? The man she's with when she visited yesterday is his boyfriend," I told him.
"What the fuck?"
Natawa naman ako dahil sa hindi niya alam ang tungkol doon. Naiiling naman ako na pumaso sa banyo at saka naligo. After some time, I told him that I'm going to buy food for us. Since he still couldn't eat hard and greasy food, I'm going to stick with a porridge.
Hindi naman ako nagtagal sa pagbili dahil alam ko naman na mabuburyo kaagad si Marvin kaya naman binilisan ko ang galaw ko. Nang makabalik ako ay nakita ko naman na palabas na si Jullia at si George.
"You told him?" Jullia asked.
I smirked. "You didn't warned me," I told her and shrugged my shoulder. "How was it?" I asked.
She smirked at me as well. "Everything was fine with me but he literally bombared George a questions!"
Mahina ako na natawa. "It was his duty as your brother, anyway. What's with the fuss?"
"Whatever," she said. "Oh, Yana said you should go with us next week."
Tumango naman ako. "I'll talk to Marvin about this."
When George and Jullia left, it's only me and Marvin again. I look at him and he's staring at me. I smiled and turned around. Inasikaso ko na ang kakainin niya. He's only allowed to eat porridge so I always bought one near the hospital. Nakita ko kasi na sobrang dami nang nabili doon kaya naman nagpunta ako at sinubukan ko. It was indeed delicious and 'yung nagtitinda ay sobrang mitikoloso. I mean, hindi siya gaya ng iba na pabaya sa binebenta. Talagang malinis ang tinda niya.
"I bought this prorridge near the hospital," I said as I put the food in front of him. "It's clean, you don't have to worry," I added. He stared at me and smiled a little. "Can you eat alone?" I asked.
