He chuckles. "I'm fine," he answered. "I was busy but I am fine. Are you doing well, as well?"
I nodded my head repeatedly. "Yes, yes, I am. I missed you..."
"I missed you, too. If everything went well for this one last work, I will go and see you."
"That's not as dangerous as your work before, right?" I was worried, I don't know if it was the same as before.
"I'm fine. It's not dangerous. All I have to do is to talk to them. If something goes wrong, our country might go an all-out war against them."
I was so glad that I heard my brother's voice. "Did you already visited mom?" I asked.
"Uh-huh. She's doing grate with her treatment. It was all thanks to your senior who happened to be her therapist."
Right, it was an alumnus who treated my mother now.
"Thank goodness," I murmured.
"Why don't you visit her? She said she misses you so much," my big brother said.
Napayuko naman ako. Am I allowed to? It was my entire biological mother's fault but I have no rights to judge her but what she did was wrong.
"KeCy, baby..."
"Yes?"
"It wasn't your fault, all right? It was ours. You're just caught with it so you don't have to worry about it. Go and see her. It would make her feel better. You're her favorite after all," he teased. Napakagat naman ako ng ibabang labi. Hindi ko mapigilan ang mapahagulgol.
After our call ended, I stayed in my bed, crying. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do.
Shall I go and meet my mom? But, if it weren't for my biological mom this wouldn't happen. I feel like I should be responsible for everything that happened to my brother's family.
It was Yana and Henry.
I opened the door and tilted my head as I leaned on the door frame. "So, what's the matter?" I asked, looking at them curiously. "Did everything went well?" I added.
"Did you cry?" she asked, looking at me worriedly.
"I asked you first."
"Everything went well, of course. Mr. Ro has already decided to take over the research. However, he still asked for our help." Henry then sat down in the sofa in front of me. "Did that answer your question?"
