I sobbed into my pillows for what seemed like hours. There was a light knock on my door and then someone walked in. "Valerie?" Rebecca said quietly closing the door behind her. I didn't answer I just continued to sob into my pillow. "What happened?" She asked me sitting on the edge of my bed. I looked up at her. "Harry broke up with me!" I sobbed as my voice cracked at the end. Rebecca patted my shoulder. "Did he say why?" She asked. I nodded into the pillow. "He said that the distance was killing him and he doesn't think he can give me what you and Thomas have and it would be better this way. He thinks he won't get married and have a life with me like that." I sobbed. My words were coming out muffled by the pillow so I was surprised Rebecca understood every word I said. "That doesn't sound like him." She said stroking my hair. I sat up grabbing the pillow and hugging it to my chest. "What do you mean? It's Harry. He's known as the flirt and not being able to keep a relationship for longer than a week. I'm surprised he let this one go on for so long and that I fell for it." I mumbled. Rebecca shook her head. "I know that, but that was a year ago before he met you and even then he obsessed over trying to find you. I doubt he broke up with you for those reasons." She said patting my foot.

I sighed as more tears streamed down my face. Rebecca left my room only to come back with two tubs of ice cream, spoons, whipped cream, chips, every Nicholas Sparks movie we owned, and plenty of tissues. I looked at her with a slight smirk on my face. "It's healing time." Rebecca said handing me a tub of chocolate ice cream. I opened it and grabbed the whipped cream. Whenever one of us was having problems, we would indulge ourselves in ice cream and other junk foods. When Rebecca's grandmother died, we made her favorite cake and ate it all then we had two Starbucks drinks each and then ate two large pizzas by ourselves. Now Rebecca was returning the favor and I knew she would do a wonderful job at making me feel better.

After we finished our tubs of ice cream and crying our eyes out from a Nicholas Sparks marathon, we finally went to bed a little past three in the morning. When I woke up, Rebecca was gone and it was almost nine in the morning. I got up and went down to the kitchen. Niall and Rebecca were in there, sipping on tea and coffee. "Hey. Feeling better?" Rebecca asked when I entered the kitchen. I rubbed my eyes and shook my head. "Well you and Rebecca are going to spend the day shopping and doing whatever it is girls do." Niall said smiling at me. I glanced at Rebecca. "I told him what happened and he suggested that you and I have a girls day while the boys do their thing." She said. "Are you sure?" I asked Niall. He nodded taking a sip of his coffee. "We have to meet with management and go over some events we're going be doing while we're here." He said waving my worries off. "So go get dressed and we'll go." Rebecca said pushing me out of the kitchen. I laughed shaking my head but went upstairs to get dressed for the day. Luckily all the boys were either still sleeping or were getting ready in their own rooms.

When I came back downstairs, Rebecca grabbed her car keys and we were off. First place we stopped at was a salon to get our nails and toe nails done. "Is this really all necessary?" I asked as the lady applied some unknown products to my nails. "Yes. By the time we get home we'll look absolutely stunning." Rebecca said giggling. Once we were done with nails and toes we went to the mall. Rebecca dragged me to every dress store and woman's apparel store imaginable. She had me try on every party dress and every outfit possible. Once she was satisfied, we would move on to the next store. "Okay now we can go home." Rebecca said once we had paid for our items. I sighed, "Good. My arms are getting tired." I had at least six different bags on each arm and Rebecca had the same amount. We struggled getting to the car and putting all the bags in the back seat of the car. On the drive back home, Rebecca seemed very giddy about something but she wouldn't tell me what was making her so happy. I was about to ask her again but we pulled up in front of our apartment. "Let's go!" She said jumping out of the car and grabbing bags and running inside.

I grabbed the remaining bags and followed her. Inside I found a group of people setting up various items in our living room and Rebecca was chatting with a woman I would recognize anywhere. "Hey Lou." I said walking up to the two women. "Hey Valerie. How are you?" Lou, One Direction's stylist, asked me. I smiled at her. "Could be better but I'm still living." I said. She smiled and turned to a man who held a palette of eyeshadow. "Rebecca? What is all this?" I asked turning to look at my mischievous best friend. "Well the boys got invited to this big party in Las Vegas and they want us to go with them. So these people are here to help us get ready." She said with a big grin. "You're kidding right?" I asked looking around. "Does it look like I'm kidding? Now go sit down over there and they're gunna start on your hair." Rebecca said pushing me towards the bathroom. In there, a man, who without a doubt was obviously gay, and I loved him right off the bat, sat me down and began working on my hair.

"You have the most gorgeous hair I have ever had to work with! It's so thick and lavish! What do you use for your hair?" The man asked. "By the way I am Sean. And before you ask, yes I am gay and proud of it!" Sean said standing up proudly. I giggled at his statement. "Valerie. And to answer your question I just wash it every other day and let it dry out on it's own." I said shaking hands with Sean. For the rest of the hour he styled my hair, he chatted on about who's hair he's worked on before, how happy he was when he got signed on to work with One Direction. I think I learned more about him in the hour he styled my hair than I have ever learned about anyone else. Ever. "Well it was fabulous meeting you and you may now go to get your make up on." Sean said patting my cheek. I turned to look at myself in the mirror. My hair was absolutely stunning. Despite how thick my hair was, Sean managed to pin up all my curls into a messy bun. My bangs were swept to the side with a perfect curl to them. As an add on Sean put a pearl white flower behind my right ear.

I thanked him a thousand times and went to get my make up done. I saw that Rebecca had already gotten her make up done and was about to get her hair done. "You're gunna love the hair stylist!" I said as I passed Rebecca in the hall. She looked beautiful with her make up. I didn't get to see her well but the little glimpse I saw was amazing. I sat down in a tall chair in the living room facing a large mirror that had been set up. Lou strolled over and smiled at me with that warm motherly smile she always has. "So Rebecca told me which dress you'll be wearing and I must say it's a good choice. So what I'm gunna do is a natural color to balance out the dress color." Lou said. I nodded unsure of what she was talking about. For the next hour Lou worked on my face. "Okay you're ready to go. Just go put your dress on and then the car will be here soon." Lou said putting down the mascara in her hand. I nodded going upstairs, finding the dark blue dress Rebecca had me try on earlier. I put it on and put on my metallic silver heels. I quickly went downstairs to find Rebecca dressed and waiting for me. "You look stunning!" She squealed when I was on the last step. I smiled. "He's gunna regret breaking up with you."
