Chapter 11

"Harry!" I yelled rushing over to Chris who's eye was starting to turn purple. "What did you do that for!" I yelled at him. "He shouldn't be asking you out." Harry said. I stood up and slapped him hard. "How dare you tell me who I should and shouldn't date! You broke up with me so you lost any right to have an opinion on who I should be with!" I said.

There was a look of confusion and hurt plain across his face. A red hand print was beginning to form on his cheek. He stormed off not saying another word. I turned back to Christopher, who had regained his feet and had a nasty bruise forming on his eye. "Come on. I'll find you some ice." I said taking his hand and leading him to the kitchen. I asked a worker for some ice and he returned immediately with a towel and a big cup of ice. I sat Chris down and pressed the ice to his swollen eye. "You still haven't answered my question." Chris said. I looked down at him. "What question is that?" I asked him teasingly. He grabbed my hand and pulled it away from his face. "If you'll go out on a date with me?" Chris asked. I smiled. "Of course." I said putting the ice pack against his eye again. He flinched but didn't protest. "Valerie?" Someone said from the kitchen door. I turned around to see Louis standing there. I sheepishly smiled at him. "Yes?" I said still holding the ice. "Can I talk to you?" Louis asked. I nodded giving Chris the ice pack, following Louis out of the kitchen. "What's up?" I asked him. He looked down at the ground unsure of what to say. "Can you and Harry get back together again?" He mumbled.

I took a deep breath. It felt like a knife was driven into my heart for the millionth time. "I-I can't Louis." I stuttered. "Why not? You and Harry were so happy and he's not the same without you." Louis said sadly. I shook my head. "He broke up with me Louis. He doesn't want me." I said painfully. I didn't think it would hurt this much to just say the words but it felt like a piece of me just died. "I think it's stupid." Louis mumbled to himself. "What's stupid?" I asked. He shook his head, saying he wasn't going to tell me. I sighed again and went back into the kitchen. I know I can be happy without Harry. At one point in my life I was happy and I was determined to be that way again.

*the next day*

I was lounging on the couch thinking about last night. I was going on a date with Chris my first boyfriend and first ex. He had said he loved me but I never said it back and I guess that was one of the reasons why he broke up with me. We only dated for a few months but he was such an amazing boyfriend and I knew he loved me but I didn't know if I loved him. Even now I still don't know if I do or not. "Here." Rebecca said handing me an envelope. I opened it and found two tickets to a One Direction concert for tonight. "Rebecca, you know I have my date tonight with Chris. I can't go to this." I said handing them back to her. "Take someone else with you." I added standing up. I went into the kitchen to find something to snack on. "No these tickets are for you and Chris. I didn't get them. Niall sent them in for you. He gave me and Thomas a backstage pass." She said following me. I rolled my eyes. "Why would Niall give me two tickets to his own concert?" I asked. Rebecca shrugged and went up to her room. I sighed looking at the tickets. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go to the concert. At that moment, Chris called me. "Hello beautiful." He said when I answered. I blushed and was glad he couldn't see me. "Did you decide what we could do tonight?" He asked. "Speaking of our date. I forgot I promised the boys that I would go to their concert tonight. They just sent in the tickets." I said picking up the tickets and checking them. It would start at seven and we had front row tickets. "I don't mind going." Chris said. "Really?" I asked a little surprised. "Yeah. Look I'm not gunna let your ex come between us and just because he decked me doesn't mean I'm scared of him and want you to stay away from him as much as possible. I get that you're friends with the other boys and Rebecca is practically their mother, don't worry about it." Chris said.

I smiled and began to blush again. "Thanks." I said. We said our goodbyes and hung up. I went upstairs to decide on what I'm going to wear. It was only three but I had to start getting ready. "Rebecca? What are you going to wear tonight?" I yelled across the hall. I heard her close her drawers. "I think I'm going to wear that black and red party dress." She yelled back. I pulled out my purple and black party dress. "Which one? The one that hangs off the shoulder or the v-neck one?" I asked. She walked into my room with the red and black off the shoulder dress. The black skirt was a pencil skirt that hugged her lower half very well and the top was a red that was loose and hung off her shoulders slightly. "Should I wear the black heels or the red ones?" She asked holding up two pairs of heels. I looked at them and pointed to the black ones. She slipped them on and grew only five inches. "You should wear that dress. It's new and it looks good on you." Rebecca said, walking into the bathroom. I looked at the purple dress and put it on. It was almost the same style as Rebecca's dress but the top was like a button up collared shirt. I put on my black heels and went into the bathroom.

Rebecca looked at me from the doorway and said, "Still don't know if you love or not?"
