Drake's POV

Lumipas ang araw ng ganoong kabilis.
Hindi ko alam kung bakit, pero may parte sa akin ang nababagabag.
It's that gut feeling that's telling me that I've been wasting many opportunities.
"Son are you alright?" Nabalik ako sa reyalidad
"Yeah I'm good, why?"
"You are a little on the edge these past days. Something bothering you?"
"It's nothing dad, maybe I just overworked."
"Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself Drake, have some rest."
"Dad,"
"Yes son?"
"Take care" I only said

As I was walking out of Dad's office, a scene was again replayed to my mind.
The scene yesterday where I saw them hugging, laughing, being somewhat intimate and undeniably close for my liking. How come I only had a chance to hug her once? While he's done it numerous times that day.
I shouldn't be feeling this way.
I don't think it's normal.
I am being possessive towards a friend, its not really normal.

Paulit ulit kong ni rereplay sa isip ko, where did I go wrong to being a friend.
It confuse me everytime I recall her words, I never understand how was she playing and using me when all I could see was truthfulness in her eyes. I tried thinking about what I did, still all I get was nothing, all these years her words left me thinking more and more about her.

Didn't she really see me as a friend?
Where is the sweet Fierra I use to know?
"Hey cuz, you've been extra silent lately. What's up with you?" Tanong ni Chris nang mamataan niya ako sa balcony ng bahay namin

"It's nothing, maybe I'm just tired"

"Lighten up Drake, I know the company needs you, but your health is more important."

"I know that, but thanks anyway"
"Malapit na ang Charity Ball, so rest well para may energy ka sa performance natin." I just nodded

We were silent for a few second but then I suddenly want to ask her something
"Have you ever lost a friend so dear to you?" I asked
"Yes I have, lahat naman siguro
tayo" tanging sagot niya
"What did you feel?" Curious I asked

"Hmm? Sad, disappointment, guilt. Why did you ask?"
"Just curious" I shrugged, I glanced back at her and I see creases on her forehead.
"Remember the girl I always told you about when we were in high school?" I asked that's when she looked at me
" Your best friend?" she answered smoothly
"Zaen and Fierra are the same girl." Pag amin ko mukhang di naman siya gulat sa nalaman
"I know, I guessed. Since the day we first met I knew it was her. The way you look at her, it was the same look you gave when you are talking about her every time then."
"Yeah"
"She's really that special to you huh"
"Yeah-- I mean we were close back then, but suddenly things don't go so smooth between us"
"Why don't you reconcile with her? Be friends with her again"
"She doesn't want to see me ever again. She maid it clear when we talked. She wanted to forget that we existed before."
"Then? Do something. Are you just gonna stand here and do nothing?"
"It's not like we dated or something in the past Chris"
"Like I would take that, come on don't try to fool me. I have eyes, those hanging out that you pretend with her, means a date to you." She said playfully
"So tell me, why did you date Sally, when you clearly don't like her?"
I got silent
"Have you learned to like or love Sally before?"
That made me silent more
"Sumagi ba sa isip mo minsan yung posibilidad na baka hindi siya si Shane?" That caught me off guard
"Paano naman napasok sa usapan si Shane?" Tanong ko
"Oh come on Drake let's be true here, you thought she was shane when you first met her" it wasn't like that, I just thought her name was quite similar to shane. Her real name was Shane Ally Fernandez.
"Did you date her because you thought she's Shane? Or that she reminded you of shane?"Umiling ako sa sunod na tanong niya
"No, I dated her because she said she likes me" tanggi ko
"And you like her too?" Hindi ako sumagot agad.
"Naging kami diba?"
"You didn't answer my question" medyo iritableng gilalas niya
