Nandini: But Samar...
Samar: Jo bhi tum chaho.
Nandini: I don't know if we should be doing this.

She bites her lower lip, unsure of what to say.

Samar: Mein koi aur aurat ko kiss karna nahi chahta hu. Do you want to be kissing another man?
Nandini: Ugh... I can't even think of another man.
Samar: Badiya.
Nandini: Fine, I won't call off the entire thing yet. Par, tumhe jaan na hoga ki you're fighting an uphill battle.
Samar: Mujhe pata hai.
Nandini: And I feel even more like Lizzy Bennett ab.
Samar: I looked her up, by the way Pride and Prejudice, huh?
Nandini: One of my favorites.
Samar: Agar tum Lizzy Bennett ho, kya mein Mr. Darcy hu?
Nandini: Tum, woh bhi Mr. Darcy. . You wish.
Samar: Mein toh abhi abhi shuru hua hu.
Nandini: And he's only the premier hero of an entire era of romance writing.
Samar: Romance? Pff!
Nandini: Here we go again.
Samar: Romance last nahi karta. Woh fade ho jata hai . I hate to be the bearer of bad news, par mujhe honest hona hi padega about my beliefs. Loyalty last karta hai. Fidelity last karta hai. Tumhe experience nahi hoga witnessing a marriage fall apart. But, I do.
Nandini: Ye tum kya keh rahe ho?
Samar: Mummy aur Mr. Shah.. Par unka case alag tha. Let me tell you about my brother and his wife. Woh dono starting mein bohot khush the, par now they just snap at each other har waqt. Meri choti behen aur parents are in the crossfire. I don't believe in sparks and fireworks aur flutters. Mein believe karta hu in hard work and shared values.
Nandini: I have to say... Shayad tum sahi ho. I guess I don't know much about it, par mein convinced hu ki the kind of romance I read about sacha hai. Otherwise, why would so many people write about it?
Samar: Wishful thinking?

They reach the end of their drive, and stop walking, Nandini locks her gaze with his. Chuckling at Samar, she begins the slow walk back to her parents' house.

Nandini: Do you know what my father did a month ago? He drove an hour to find the perfect cream buns my mother was craving. Romance last karta hai agar tum chahte ho ki woh last kare.
Samar: Woh Romance nahi hai. Woh toh bas listening to your wife and being a good husband hai.
Nandini: Oh? Maybe you just have a different name for it. Tum usse ache pati hona kehte ho, I call it romance.
Samar: Romance ek childish concept hai that conveys the idea of some magical energy between people. I don't believe in that.

Nandini shakes her head.

Nandini: Time tumhe galat prove karega.
Samar: Or maybe you will.

Nandini raises an eyebrow at him.

Nandini: Have a good night, Samar.

Then, she turns and enters the house.

The following afternoon, Nandini prepares for her cousin Pinky's pre-wedding ceremony.
